Extra! - Long Distance Get Well Dedication ;-)

Recently, my hoomin's Dad in Law, Michael, went through an open heart surgery.
All went well, but recovery is long.

And if you or someone you know is recovering, we wish them well as well ;-)

So, get well!! Thump, thump ;-)
We disapprove of slow recoveries!

Mr. Bun, Fleetie has given us a new expression - nose nudgies. I hope it is not too brash of me to send "nose nudgies" to all those on their road to recovery.

Michael had best get well so he can get back to bun chores! All our buns (and we mere hoomins) are sending best wishes & prayers for a speedy recovery.

"Nose nudgies" is definitely not my invention / creation. I got it from someone else, years ago. I can't remember where I saw it, or who said it, but it's not mine. Just like "Make it snappeh!" is not mine, although I do like "Make it snappeh!"!

That watercolour (it is watercolour, right?) painting looks like Dougal, with the left ear pointing sideways! And I love the glasses and the nurse's hat! Mr. Bun's hoomin is a talented artist hoomin!

Yes, it is appropriate to send wishes to those who are seriously ill. I found out a few weeks ago that one of my ex-colleagues from my last job has terminal cancer, and only has 1 to 3 years left, apparently. That person is younger than me, and is a really nice person, too. It simply isn't fair.

It's clear to me that Mr. Bun is a wise and intelligent rabbit! And even wiser because he chose a good hoomin as a bun-servant!

Nose nudgies from us Moores (2 hoomins, dog, horse and the Cat That Rules Us All) and I know Champis sends his best, too.

Always distressing to have serious illness become part of your story, but there's a song lyric that goes, "You have to be stronger than the story" and I kind of like that. Warm thoughts for your friend, Fleetie, and strength for you as you give them what support you can.

Wishing everyone well as this winter comes (sloooowly) to an end!

Yes, Fleetie, it's a watercolour and it is The Dougster! I did another one here http://resumeownnavigation.blogspot.com/2014/01/catching-up-dougster_30.html as a study, around the same time.

It's really difficult when there's nothing that one can do for someone one cares about :-( Sigh....

Ijon, how can caring be not doing anything? It is the caring that is very difficult, but it is what really matters. Thank you all for this lovely page.

It's the feeling of inadequacy, wishing to be able to do more. Hard time with letting go. Kowalski would not approve I guess.
