The Bunday Evening Thumps

Espresso
Gus, "Dreaming of Charlie coming back for the night."
Espresso

Good evening, Everybun!

It's been a very, very quiet day for us in the burrow. My hoomin slept and felt off-kilter ever since. But that's his problem.

I'm doing pretty well - all is quiet in my nose - know on wood. And it's so nice not having to be wrapped in a towel twice a day so those nasty drops could trickle down into my snoot.

It's been a rough ride, but maybe, just maybe, it's gonna be OK.

Goodnight and good luck!

Espresso, Charlie, and Gus Update

Charlie
"Commissioner Gus", "I like to call 'em gratuitous gratuities."
Esspresso

Hellos, Everybun!

It's been a quiet week in our burrow. Both of Spressy's doctors called this week, and the consensus is to wait and see. We stopped the nose drops on Wednesday and since then, have been watching the guy. There were a few mild sneezes, and my hoomin just wrote them down in a journal. We'll talk to the doctor at Blue Pearl in a couple of weeks.

Unfortunately, when Blue Pearl sent out the rhinolith to the lab, they didn't order stone analysis, so we don't know what it was exactly.

We'll just have to wait and see for now - maybe the second rhinolith won't bother him.

We enjoy the break from doing the meds and everything that comes with it. We'll try to chillax and do the absolute least possible. Then we'll art.

We'll keep you posted!

The Bunday Evening Thumps

Espresso, "Yes - Charlie and I love the tunnel from Bauntie Susan - what of it!?"

Good evening, Everybun!

My hoomin thinks we had a great visit at the new V. E. T. I'm in very good shape - all things considered. Of course, the visit was great for him - he didn't get his temperature taken - twice. And he didn't get his ears cleaned. And on, and on!

Now, about that stone up my nose. The doctor is very interested in finding a way to get rid of it. Maybe the pebble can be dissolved, broken up, or dislodged somehow. She promised to make some phone calls this week. So, the "wait and see" adventure continues for a bit more.

For now, though, we feel we're in good paws with the new doctor. It's a huge relief - we had no idea how this transition to a new V. E. T. would turn out.

My hoomin still does not feel like he's out of the woods with this, though, so he's been trying to art this weekend. The evening is still young, we have plenty of paper around, and we'll make the best of the time.

Goodnight, and good luck!

Espresso, Charlie, and Gus Update

Hellos, Everybun!

I'm supposed to meet my new doctor in a little bit, and as you can tell, I'm absolutely thrilled. Thump!

We had a follow-up on Wednesday at the hospital that did my CT scans, and my hooomin got to see the scan images—before and after. I tell ya—the piece they could not get to and remove is—well, it's not tiny.

The short of it is that we're in a "wait and see" part of this adventure, and this is driving my hoomin bananas: not knowing what will happen next, not being able to do anything about the mineral, and the overall powerlessness.

We stopped the oral antibiotic, but I'm still getting the nose drops once a day. We'll have a phone consult with the hospital sometime next week, and we may stop the nose drops then.

In other words - out kinda summer fun.

We'll keep you posted!

The Bunday Evening Thumps

Wyatt and Wynonna as the "Disapproving Fifers 1"
Wyatt and Wynonna as the "Disapproving Fifers 2"
Wyatt and Wynonna as the "Disapproving Fifers 3"

Good evening, Everybun!

My hoomin did his best to keep out of our way today. We wanted to loaf in peace, and he wanted to piddle with his color studies. He brooded most of the day, of course. As the long weekend wound down, he realized it took about three days for his head to pop out of a certain dark place, only to face falling right back into a cauldron of dark tar pit come M*nd*y morning.

And for something completely different, a bit of good news. Remember "Graham Cracker and Mel?" Well, it's finally up for a raffle by the Brambeley Hedge Rabbit Rescue. It's one of the prizes in a fundraiser to help them survive the electricity bills this summer.

You can find the details here https://www.facebook.com/bhrabbitrescue/posts/897180575785450?ref=embed_post

Tickets are available on PayPal at BrambleyHedgeRR@gmail.com:

1 ticket = $5.00

5 tickets = $20.00

15 tickets = $50.00

In other news, it's been a month or so since my hoomin started working on those color studies of a couple of bunns from Suncoast House Rabbit Rescue. We're not sure where this is going, but it's moving. And there's another study in progress, with another one on the to-do list.

Anyway, that's what we will focus on, and if all goes well, we'll try to overbun this week.

Goodnight and good luck!

Espresso, Charlie, and Gus Update

Hellos, Everybunny!

And the long weekend rolls on. It's mostly quiet around here now. My hoomin wrestled with the elephant grass in the yard before things got too hot.

I wish we had no updates on my boyfriend, but the darn murderizer managed to have a sneezing fit yesterday. Right around two in the afternoon, my hoomin freaked out hearing that. Talk about getting your spirit deflated.

Things are on the quiet side of things now, and maybe that was a weird, one-off event. That's what we'll keep telling ourselves until Wednesday when the guy has to go in for a follow at the V. E. T.

So, we'll art in the meantime. I mean, what else is there left to do? And tomorrow, we'll post some updates on the color studies my hoomin keeps churning out. I promise.

We'll keep you posted!

Hopp 4th - Now Don't Do Something - Loaf!

Hellos, Everybun!

The best we can do is tune out, loaf, and maybe chillax. After this very short week, my hoomin feels pretty much finished. At least the long weekend is underway.

We got mostly good news from the doctor about Espresso's second CT scan results. All the fluid and snot buildup is gone from his nose. The doctor suspects there might be one very small rhinolith left, but it's too far back to reach with the scope. We have an appointment on Wednesday next week for a recheck at the hospital. Then we'll know if and how much meds 'Spresso will be getting.

My hoomin slowly worked himself into a complete bun sh*t crazy frenzy over what the future holds for 'Spressy, but I sayz it's still too early to panic. Will the snot and stones come back? We don't know.

And now for something completely different. We're not your average fair-weather Red, White, and Blue crew around here - we hope you've noticed. We always try to cram a ton of that into our portraits every chance we get. And why stop there? The greens, oranges, purples, and yellows make life only richer. That's not going to change.

But now I have to go and kick my hoomin to clean my bin, then start arting. He got more art supplies this week, and I have a feeling they won't use themselves.

We'll keep you posted!
