We're still enjoying a quiet day here. Spressy is holding up well - cross your paws, so we're all trying to take it a little easier. My hoomin is a little anxious about tomorrow, but I don't expect anything less.

He tries to put on a brave face, but I know better. I sayz, "You have that painting set in a cardboard sleeve, sitting on the easel - isn't it talking to ya!? Do me a quick portrait on it - you know you want to. You've got the 'brown ground' from the cardboard - what else could you want!? Maybe it'll help you take your mind off the tar pits tomorrow and the whole trip to the V. E. T." We'll see if he takes the bait.

Everybunn is doing well, and even Spressy is holding up OK. We had to put him back on the nose drops, though. Now we're anxiously waiting for M*nd*y because the murderizer has an appointment with an exotics specialist at Blue Pearl.

At least we have a plan and are a little more hopeful. Funny how bun can look forward to a M*nd*y all of a sudden. Blue Pearl can do a CT Scan, and that's part of the reason for the consult. Of course, we're hoping it won't be necessary, so keep your paws crossed for the guy.

My hoomin took Mr. Bun to Blue Pearl about ten years ago, and it was a great experience, but that was then, and that doctor has retired since.

When my hoomin hears "Blue Pearl," he thinks, "The Blue Parrot," for some reason, but truth be told, we wish we could go to "Rick's Cafe."

It's been a quiet week around here. If you don't count the twice-daily wrestling match with my hoomin, I mean, him trying to put those stupid nose drops down my nose.

We don't know how much any of that helped, though. As my hoomin phoned the V. E. T. this morning with a status update, I had a nasty little sneeze fit. So, we were told to "Nebulize tonight and tomorrow and call back on M*nd*y."

So, there you have it. Now I'm settled in for the day in my favorite nappy spot. I have a feeling my hoomin will try to crawl under the bed and hide.
Yes, we'll go "one paw in front of the other" for now, but where do we set that paw in front? To the left? To the right? I think I see my paw prints from the last time we did that. Ain't that a nice circle, for thump's sake?

Good evening, Everybun!

Our mid-April blast of summer is in full swing, with cool mornings and crystal-clear skies. Then, things warm up fast. It is a good time to catch up on sleep, and that's exactly what my hoomin and I did. 

I'm doing better with the sneezes but hate the nose drops with passion! I can tell my hoomin struggles with having to do this to me, and so we wrestle through it. Then, he can't apologize enough to me and tries to make up for it with treats and head rubs. 

This morning, we sampled the loot from last week's Tampa Bay Bunfest. Oh, the stuff was yammeh, and the event was glorious - we hope there will be another one next year!

And in other news, "Graham Cracker and Mel" is getting prepared for shipment. Yes, it's a thing - this sad "nobunn's" land between one painting completing and another commencing. Of course, there's just one fix for that - the same one for this entire arting affliction - just make more. And if it gets worse? Make even more!

Hellos, Everybun!

The Spressy Sneezing Saga continues. We had yet another visit with the V. E. T. on Tuesday, and the poor guy is on nose drops again, two times a day. Of course, he's not very fond of the good old Gentamicin Sulfate. 

He improved immediately and is doing better. Spressy still occasionally sneezes, so we keep our paws crossed that he'll improve more. 

And my hoomin? He's losing his wits over this. On top of all that, he had a V. E. T. visit, and the story is that his fatigue is unlikely caused by the low dosage of Hydroxyurea. His numbers are stable, and the sodage stays the same.

Now even the squirrels are messin' with him. He serves them a dinner plate of sunflower seeds, peanuts, and hazelnuts, and five minutes later, the squirrels look at him with straight faces like,
"Hey, meat bag! Did you forget something? It's five past dinner!"
"Dinner? What dinner!? Your plate was full," says the hoomin.
"Do you see a full plate somewhere? We don't see a full plate! You're really starting to lose it, dude." gaslight the squirrels.

The Bunday Evening Thumps

Good evening, Everybun!

Around noon yesterday, My friend and murderizer First Class, Espresso, got his Baytril injection. The doctor said it should be the last shot in the series and to give them a call on Tuesday.

Fast forward a few hours and Espresso obliged us with a big, fat loogie. Hoomin was out when it had happened, but he imagines it had to be one thump of a sneeze. 

So, we collected the sample the best we could and put it in the fridge. We have no idea if it is suitable for testing. We'll get to the V. E. T. first thing M*nd*y morning. 

And thus, we are no closer to solving the Spressy Sneezy Snot mystery than two or three weeks ago. Thump!

In today's edition of the "Morning Spress," Espresso keeps sneezing, Charlie doesn't feel like coming over, and Gus is eating up a storm. The details when we come back.

Yes, it feels a little strange to talk about myself in the third person, but it's the weekend, and if you can't do something silly on occasion, then what's the point. 

 

Thus, Espresso may be going to the V. E. T. this morning to get another injection of Baytril. He's not entirely out of the woods, but he seems better; he eats, he poops, he scores!

 

As of now, we're waiting for a call back from the V. E. T. and have no idea how the rest of the day will unfold. Of course, it would be bunderful to visit the Bunfest.
