Good evening, Everybun!
My hoomin used to reminisce about how everything was always better at Grandma's or Auntie's. It never made any sense to me until this week. Now I know.
My hoomins took a little vacation this past week, and Buntie Susan would check on us twice daily. We got the same cookies we always did, but why did they taste better? And that little twerp, Gus, would binky for her, and Charlie couldn't wait to go back to the living room to greet her.
Well, today we got our sorry sods back. Pfft! Thump!
Anyway, it was nice to stay home instead of getting boarded in a strange place. Had we shown any signs of distress, Buntie would have known how to help. She takes care of a bunch of disapprovers herself.
At least my hoomin missed us berry much; the night is still young, and I suspect we'll be getting bunches and bunches of head rubs and nose bonks.
Goodnight and good luck!

Hellos, Everybunny!
Chillaxing continues. We've got no news, complaints, or anything at the moment. The little vacation is throwing my hoomin for a loop, so he tries to compensate with a little bit of art here, a little bit more there. One of the projects underway is another 36 x 48 acrylic painting of a couple of Disapprovers. Yes, we'll keep you posted and there will be "sneak peeks."
This one will either stay at home or will go to benefit the local rescue. Tampa Bay Bunfest will be here before you know it, so there's little time to finish the piece.
We'll keep you posted!

BHRR: http://bhrabbitrescue.orgWe would like to pay our respects to Karat, who passed away a little while ago after a battle with GI stasis. Karat lost her sister, Katnis, a few months ago. Our little hearts go out to her hoomin, Buntie Susan.
Our hoomin got to spend a little bit of time with Karat while she was at one of our local vets, comforting her while the good doctor was brainstorming ways to save Karat. All of us are torn up by this loss and would like to extend our most sincere condolences to Buntie Susan.
- Charlie, Gus, and Espresso
Thank you, Petra!
PS: If you're one of the lucky few that get to celebrate a second day of Christmas - be well, be safe, be kind, and enjoy!
All my hoomin wants are pellets, so we're obliging. And he was griping about not having enough rum-soaked raisins, so I sayz, "I got your raisins right here; you just take care of the rum!"
We'll keep you posted!

BHRR: http://bhrabbitrescue.orgGood evening, Everybun!
We're not sure how it happened, but the shortest day just came and went. My hoomin got his bun dragons, and what have ya finished. All in all, it's been a hectic couple of days.
We're doing fine and have nothing to report except yours truly getting some Eyewash drops in his eyes, but that's just "scheduled" or "preventative" maintenance.
The hoomin is mostly depleted now, and I doubt I can beat much more out of him. I have not seen much of him today, anyway. For now, enjoy a few of the bun dragons. We'll try to get decent pics of them in the next few days.
And last but not least, if you have some Xmas disapproval to share, or any disapproval for that matter, it would be most welcome.
Goodnight and good luck!

Hellos, Everybun!
It's been a quiet week, but it's been a week. It's one of those that leaves you wondering, "How did I make it through?" Now, we're fine and doing our "jobs:" eating and pooping. The rest is extra.
Charlie was supposed to have a checkup with the local vet, but she gave up the time slot so buntie Susan could take Karat to see the doctor. In the end, that was not enough; Karat left yesterday afternoon. It really kicks you in the gut.
We'll make another appointment for Charlie, but there's no need to rush. She's very active, eats well, and is mad at not getting the greens she used to.
So, we'll try to chillax; there's a ton of art left and little time to do it. But, we'll grind it out, and maybe, just maybe, we'll catch a break after the holidays.
We'll keep you posted!

Good evening,
Everybun! It's been a day of decompressing. Even the bipeds are chillaxing. I got a little salaaad out of Charlie's sight and my hoomin was grateful when I let him haz whatever he could capture.
Last week was one of those weeks for my hoomin. But we got through those moments; in the present ones, we're napping, arting, rinsing, and repeating.
Espresso is also doing well. Over the past few months, we went from giving him Oflaxicin whenever he had a sneezing fit to saline if he flared up to an eyewash once a week or if sneeze-like sounds were detected. He's been getting more and more quiet, though. Something's changed for the better.
Goodnight and good luck!
- Gus
Hellos, Everybun!
The fluffle and burrow were quiet this week - except for this morning. I went with Charlie to see Dr. Teed at Keystone in Bradenton. Charlie gained a little weight and clocked in at a nice 3.38 lb. The doc was very hoppy about that.
Another piece of good news is that there is no imminent need for another surgery. Charlie's belleh is holding up well, and my hoomin got a little bit of instruction on how to monitor her tummy. Now, we have a baseline for what's normal in that regard.
The whole adventure was about getting that half an hour ground school with the good doctor. Buntie Susan went with us. Since she's taking care of a fluffle of very disapproving buns, knowledge-sharing would be a good thing. Everybunny wins.
We learned about Cyproheptadine as an appetite stimulant to add to our emergency kit. Add Cisapride to that for coping with GI stasis. We'll learn more about these two in the coming days.
So the hoomins had this long talk about Charlie and the stuff we face from time to time. The adventure was pure gold.
We'll keep you posted!

Good evening, Everybun!
That photo of me is in full color. My hoomin has been waiting for that moment for months now. And today was the day. He got his reference pic, and this piece will be painted!
Aside from that, it's been a very quiet weekend in the burrow. My hoomin has been arting since Friday, working on a couple of books for his little hoomin nieces. He's going through a full-blown bunfiction episode. There are bun dragons, buns in space, biking, hiding, loafing, and doing all kinds of fun things.
Now for something completely different. He discovered yesterday that my last post-surgery recovery at the hospital was a very close call. My vitals were very poor, and the staff thought they were losing me. My recovery after each surgery was getting more and more difficult. So that's another reason for taking it easy with the carvings. We'll try to re-assess with Dr. Teed next week.
Goodnight and good luck!
- Charlie
Hellos, Everybun!
As you can see, cookies can really take it out of you. And we're in for a nice, cold, "proper" winter day, so loafing is where it's at. You know - La Florida "proper" winter day - you up there would have a hard time telling it from spring day. But it's a nice break; it soothes the tattered nerve endings after the summer.
Remember my latest diagnosis of a small hernia in the making? And the prospect of another surgery? My hoomin got more information on that. We do have a local specialist that could do the repair with a mesh. The question is, should we go ahead with it? Both doctors at Avian are recommending that we do; Dr. Teed in Bradenton is weary about me going under one more time, considering I had a hard time recovering from the last repair.
And my hoomin is trying to weigh it all out. Well, my hoomin will make a few more calls.
What would you do?
For now, I'm very active; like to go places at full gallop. But I miss those salaaaads. Dang, I miss those salaaads!
We'll keep you posted!

BHRR: http://bhrabbitrescue.orgGood evening, Everybun!
Winter got here, and it's too cold to bellehache. The long weekend is closing slowly, and the mood is sour.
The good news is that Charlie and the murderizer are doing well. No sneezes, and everybun wants cookies.
My hoomin sat with me this morning, and I let him rub my head for a few minutes - he thought he won the lotto. Lost his mind. He's been arting since. And the evening is young.
Goodnight and good luck!
- Gus
