The Bunday Evening Thumps

Good Evening, Everybun!

We were loafing and then loafed some more today. Our hoomins took a clue from us and decided to loaf too. They wonder if it would help them get through the week the way we do?

You know - you get up, bun on, and you're done. Don't get all worked up about the petty stuff; save it for us. Work up a good salaaaaaad arrangement, and we'll busntruct it with gusto.

Oh! Did I mention that some hoomane temperatures are supposed to arrive here this week?

Good Night, and Good Luck, everybun!

Espresso, Charlie, and Gus Update

Greetings, Everybunny!

Tucks out and loafing is the plan for today. My hoomin feels back to normal, but the week was a nasty grind.

It should be "tucks out " for everybunny after five M*nd*ys in a row. Especially now that it's getting nice outside. By nice, I mean, it is still hot, but you only feel roasted instead of broiled, and the humidity drops. I can smell the EBA season!

And the tropics are quiet. Did we really make it through the worst of it? The hurricane season officially ends November first, so we're a little weary about counting our nanners before they ripen, but bunn has to have something to look forward to. At least those dreaded first two weeks of September are long gone and done with.

We'll keep you posted,
- Espresso

Binks

You know, it's a nanner for every eyedrop, right? ... or I find me some spicy hay to make it better.

- Thank you, Susan!

PS: Binks is a rescue and a survivor or several adoption attempts. He found his true forever home with Susan. After a long stretch of medical issues, he's doing much, much better. Still needs eye drops, though.

The Bunday Evening Thumps

Good Evening, Everybun!

We'll keep it short tonight because our hoomin started to feel ill last night. Relax, he can smell, his throat feels OK, doesn't cough or sneeze. But his temp is elevated. It's not constant, either. Angie feels fine, Charlie eats, Espresso is snoozing, and I swear I'm up to no good.

Hoomin popped the Z-Pack when the temp hit a hundred. Of course, he says we'll work the problem, and we'll Krantz it in the end. Well, it doesn't hurt to have the right story to keep bun's spirits up, does it?

This is Gus, reporting for Espresso, wishing you a Good Night and Good Luck!

PS: You know what else keeps the spirit up? Disapproval, yes, disapproval. Shoot us over some disapproval if you hadn't yet.

Espresso, Charlie, and Gus Update

Greetings, Everybun!

There's Alpha, there's Beta, waiting for Omega! They are swirling up and down, and sideways. Apocalyptic demos over the oceans, flaming monsters devouring trees and every other form of livingness; diseases snatching our beloved ones.

You say to yourself, "Wel shall overubn!" but you wonder after a while, "How exactly?!"

Pesto used to say, "You start on the wrong foot, you end up on the wrong foot." And thus, Charlie started the week last Sunday night by not eating. She received meds, water, and a syringe full of recovery food. Well past midnight, the hoomin tried to get some sleep. By quarter past three on M*nd*y morning, Charlie demanded treats as if nothing had happened.

Forward through the M*nd*ys making up the rest of the week, and the news about RBG breaks out. How, how exactly do we overbun all this?

We'll keep you posted,
- Gus

The Bunday Evening Thumps

Good Evening, Everybun!

It's one of those cool and soggy September days that makes you want to curl up in the burrow with your girlfriend and not come out ever again. "Sally" is churning through the Gulf of Mexico, and we're getting bands and bands of rain. It's been a little breezy since yesterday, and it's been raining all day today. We're very grateful to have that new roof!

Maybe it's the low air pressure, but Charlie and I are zonked out in my bundo, and that jealous hoomin of ours can't get enough of our noses just barely poking out of the bundo. We're not getting up; we're done dispensing thumps for the day.

Good Night, and Good Luck!

Espresso, Charlie, and Gus Update

Greetings, Everybun!

Our hoomin re-introduced us to the "Floppy Bunny," and we like the guy. He doesn't get into our pellets and demands no cookies, so we get along really well. It turns out he's a pretty good companion for loafing along and doesn't mind our incessant cleaning.

When Charlie hangs out with Gus, they have another stuffed companion. These are the days of disapproval triads.

On another note, we wish we could send all of this rain we're having to our friends out West. Never mind those murder hornets, it's a Martian-Venusian hell on earth we're witnessing. If only we could do something to keep the flames away from Peaches, Rabbits Guy, and everybun else.

We'll keep you posted,
- Espresso

Mira, Maya, and Moonglow

"Guys, we forgot the murder hornets!"
"No, we didn't; they were postponed until next month."
"Do you mean the 'October Surprise?' I thought that was Bunzilla."

- Thank you, Brambley Hedge Rabbit Rescue and Erika!

PS: A little bit about Maya, Mira and Moonglow,

BORN: 2013
WEIGHT: 4lbs each
BREED: Mini Rex
COLOR: Brown / White
GENDER: Spayed females
LITTER BOX HABITS: Good
NOTES: It's been years since these guys started looking for their forever home. They are still waiting for half a chance to steal your heart.

Maya, Mira and Moonglow are part of a litter of eight beautiful Rex babies rescued after they were dumped in a park at only a few weeks of age. All eight thankfully responded well to the care they received at BHRR and are now flourishing. These three girls and two of their brothers (Mango and Macadamia) still reside at the shelter (three of their brothers have been adopted) where they are some of our favorite bunnies to spend time with! Mira (brown) is the “big sister” and she likes to keep her little sisters in line…but sometimes little sisters like to defy their big sisters and when that happens it’s hilarious. When the girls are being precocious they are snuggled in close and grooming, snuggling and sleeping in a perfect pile of Rex bunnies.

Apricot and Peach

"Hey, Peach, did you hear about the hoomin that went to the doctor?"

"No."

"Yeah, he wanted some sleeping pills for his wife. The doctor asked, 'Why, what seems to be the problem?'"
"She keeps waking up."

- Thank you, Susan, and SCHRR!

PS: Apricot and Peach are still looking for their forever home. Susan says, "They are very loving bunnehs (...). Peach is big brother and is laid back and not afraid of anything. Apricot is easily frightened.... vacuum cleaners are in fact, out to kill her. They are inseparable. Oh, Peach is an amputee, but it doesn't slow him down a bit."

Hoppy Labour Day to Everybun!

Greetings, Everybunny!

As we strive toward the dictatorship of the bunnytariat, we need your help!

If you have any disapproval to spare, we'll be eternally grateful ;-) You can post it on our FB page here, or send us an email to disapprovingbun@gmail.com

- Gus

PS: The bunnytariat is the social class of nom-earners, those members of a society whose only possession of significant economic value is their disapproval power. A member of such a class is a bunnytarian.

The Bunday Evening Thumps

Gus, "Charlie's hanging out with that hoodlum again, isn't she?"

Espresso, "Did you call me a hoodlum, bro?"

Good Evening, Everybun!

We're still trying to squeeze all the chillaxing we can from the long weekend. We're drifting a bit at the moment, stuck between a solid deck of COVID clouds and a layer of putrid, smoggy news, watching the East Atlantic out of the corners of our eyes.

We are the major purveyors of fun for our hoomins. Whenever Charlie does anything at all, it's an "ooooh," and "aaaaah" kind of a deal. She comes over to see Espresso, eats some hay, loaves, looks at you funny, looks at you sideways, or refuses to look at you at all and stares at the wall instead. You grab the camera with hopes to get something for a "bunny but Friday," but she changes her mind by then. She's back in the bundo, flops on her side, gets another nap under her belt.

Then, in the nick of time, before the evening saaaaalads arrive, she hopes back to me, and all is well with the world. I clean her head while she's loafing; tucks out, of course.

Good Night, and Good Luck,
- Gus

Espresso, Charlie, and Gus Update

Greetings, Everybun!

That's me after this morning's frenzy of extracting treats and pellets from my hoomin. With a cup of freshly brewed stimulant in paw, my hoomin will plop down next to me. He'll do some homework with one paw and administer heard rubs with the other.

I call it a nice start of a long weekend. And we need it, especially after a week that had five M*nd*ys. We'll kick back and put off the usual worries for later. Good grief, my hoomin will probably do more homework and then watch the old Vega$ episodes. That last bit is on Belinda from SmallPet Select. She likes watching Vega$ (she has a crush on Dan Tanna), so why not give it a try.

We'll keep you posted,
- Espresso
