Greetings, Everybun!
As you can see, we work very hard to pull our weight. Mostly in cookies - we pull our weight in cookies. Of course, it's all part of us keeping an eye on our hoomin. Yeah, he's still looking, of course. No, we don't have any good news to report from the work front yet.
But we're healthy and doing well, though - knock on the hay bin - and that helps a lot.
We'll keep you posted.

I like my hair this way. I can hardly see you, hoomin!

Good Evening, Everybun!
Sometimes, bun wishes the days were less generous with material to write about.
You probably can't tell right away by looking at the sky, but the Milky Way got a little darker, or did it brighten up a bit? We wonder because this week, Speedy, "The Cheeky House Bunny," passed away.
Speedy, The Cheeky House Bunny |
Out of the blue, he died in Rachel's arms before they could make it to the V.E.T. So, did the sky lose or gain a star?
We feel like we've known Speedy forever, even though we never met in person.
Binks - Uncle Binkersploot |
And then, there was Binks. We thought he was on the mend and out of the woods. He suddenly seized up and died while Susan held and tried to comfort him. At least we had the honor to meed Binks and commune with his grace, kindness, and sass. He kindly accepted the headrubs and made you feel you were old friends, something only a wise and true elder bun can do.
Good Night, and Good Luck!
- Charlie
Gus, "Really, hoomin, really!? You don't think it's time to change that gel? How about purple; you got something against purple?" |
Charlie, "Forget it, Gus. You got your cookies so stop whining. Some of us are trying to loaf!" |
Greetings, Everybunny!
It's been a quiet week and everybunny is doing well. My hoomin has settled into his new routine of "looking," but there's nothing solid to report. It's going to be "one paw in front of the other, rinse and repeat," for buns know how long.
We'll keep you posted,
- Gus
"... the bunnana container?
... yes, yes, my hoomins ordered that - why!?
... what? ... no, they can't come to the phone.
... but they're blinking 'YES.'
.... they're a little tied up at the moment."

What are you so chippy about, hoomin!? It's humpday, and you think you're halfway to what exactly?
- Thank you, Susan!
PS: Our friend, the elder bun Binks, is working through some health issues. Susan had to take him to his V.E.T., and he stayed there overnight. One of the nurses took him home last evening to keep an eye on him. We're still waiting for a progress report this morning, but Susan and Binks could sure use all the good vibes we can send him.
What the heck are you trying to do up there, hoomin!?
- Thank you, Brambley Hedge Rabbit Rescue and Erika!

Good Evening, Everybun!
Charlie, "The saaaaalads better keep coming, hoomin." |
Charlie and 'Spresso |
Greetings, Everybun!
This week, the daily routine shifted a lot for my hoomin. All the immediate "must do" items are done, like filing for unemployment and reaching out to friends. The slog of "looking" is underway.
The goods news is that our routine didn't change one bit except for Espresso. No, he doesn't sneeze, and he's doing well. He is developing a condition on the top of his head, right between the ears, though. A bold spot is coming, possibly severe complications from acute snorgleitis.
As a result, he cleans himself twice as much and wonders when and how he ever signed up for this "support your hoomin" assignment!?
We'll keep you posted,

Good Evening, Everybun!
Mr. Spressos sat on the bench and watched the insects berserking around the street light. The park was still dark and empty. Agent Hoomin was late for the meeting that he called, and when he arrived, he sat down and started at something far in the distance. The moonless and starless night was so dark that he stared at nothing.
"You have that look again, Agent Hoomin, like you had discovered something," said Mr. Spressos.
Agent Hoomin turned and looked at Mr. Spressos, surprised, as if he saw an apparition.
"I figured it out, you know. You've been sitting on it all along, mixing it with raisins, hoping I would never catch on," Agent Hoomin rasped with agitation. Mr. Spressos lowered his eyelids a little and locked his gaze on the hoomin.
"The dark matter, most of it, all of it, it's made of uncertainty, isn't it!? And you knew all along." seethed the hoomin.
Mr. Spressos tried not to wince. He checked his watch.
"Agent Hoomin, let the planet rotate, oh, I'm guessing, another fifteen degrees. That nearest star of ours will come into view again. Let those photons break you up - and put you back together."
Both turned to stare at the night again, counting the degrees. The star would come into view again, wouldn't it?
Good Night, and Good Luck!

Greetings, Everybunny!
Let's do the good news first. I had my toe check-up and nail trim this morning, and all is well. The morning was quite cool and pleasant. We had a little cold front go through on Thursday, and it's still nice outside.
The complicated news is that my hoomin lost his work. The position got eliminated, and the tar pits are just a dark pit in his gut. On one paw, it was not THAT surprising; on the other paw, he found out, almost in passing, that his position was dependent on one client's contract. It was a bit of a "Wait, what!?" kind of surprise.
Well, the end result is the same. The company offered a few hours of consulting work for the next four weeks, and that will be it. He's trying to waddle through the next steps the best he can.
We'll keep you posted,
- Gus
PS: So, now, is every day a M*nd*y or a Friday?

Charlie, "See, you gotta get your tucks out like this and spraaaaawl!" |
Good Evening, Everybun!
My hoomin run out of things to thump about tonight. I know, that doesn't sound right. He probably forgot - been out in the sun too long, fried his brains scraping old paint, prepping for the gutter work.
He called our V.E.T. yesterday and got an appointment for Gus next Saturday morning. Gus needs his toenails inspected, especially the one trying to grow sideways.
We'll monitor Espresso's sneezing this week, and he might go along with Gus if he has any discharge. A cloudy discharge will get him a visit for sure.
But, that's all next week. Friday, we'll decide if Espresso needs to see the doc.
Aside from that, both of my hoomins petered out halfway throughout the day and took a hint from me. I had to show them a picture of how it's handled, of course.
Good Night, and Good Luck!
- Charlie
Greetings, Everybunny!
It's starting to feel more and more like summer. We still get the occasional nice evening, but we can feel it in our bones the heat is coming.
My hoomin is settling in the mid-year routine of dealing with "house infrastructure" stuff more frequently. It looks like gutter work for the next couple of weekends. Nobuny knows what will pop up after that.
In the world of the bottomless note-taking for his lesson plans, my hoomin hit the bottom of the barrel - regulations. Those bits feel the most surreal out of all the material that he has to cover. I'm sure Mr. Spressos and Agent Hoomin would like to have a chat about that.
Speaking of Mr. Spressos, he's doing well and was caught doing a binky the other day. He still has that sporadic sneeze or two - but his nose is always dry. We're still working on that one.
We'll keep you posted,
- Gus
