The Bunday Evening Thumps
Gus, "All hail kale!" |
Espresso, "This' my hoppy face!" |
Espresso, "I'm all giggles on the inside!" |
My hoomin asked, "Is it wrong to enjoy the peace and quiet this much?" I don't think so. It's nice to hang out with our hoomin and have no care in the world.
Late last evening, Charlie came back after hanging out with "what's his face," and I'm glad to nosebonk with her again.
Our family visitors decided to stay out until Tuesday, so my hoomin got all giddy about the extra day to sink his teeth into the CFI lesson plans. He said it's "Put up or shut up time."Way to spoil a perfectly good time off if you ask me, but whatever. Then he mumbles something about all this quiet time feeling like the "quiet before the storm."
Maybe he should keep himself busy if it's going to keep him from freaking out. Then, I heard him think, "Wouldn't it be nice to drink a potion every once in a while and turn into a bunn for a day, hide in a bundo and give the world a foot flick."
We'll keep you posted,
- Gus

Espresso Charlie and Gus Update
Greetings, Everybunny!
We're having a pretty quiet week this time around and even better weekend. The family came to visit for a few days, but now everybunny has gone on a little road trip — everybunny except our hoomin. So we're enjoying the peace and quiet. Charlie is snoozing in Expresso's bundo, but, you know, can't take a pic of it because it would wake her up. Sigh...
We'll keep you posted,
- Gus

The Bunday Evening Thumps
Gus, "Are you joking, hoomin? You have me hustle for this tiny bit of cawwot?" |
Charlie, "Well, hoomin, I guess the bundo will do for now." |
Good Evening, Everybun!
I got that new budo all set today and enjoyed it all by myself because Charlie "Two-Time" decided to hang out with 'Spresso. She does that only for a bit until she tires of him too but, then I am all alone all the same.
Espresso hung out with his hoomin a lot this morning. The hoomin read the "Flight Instructor's Manual" by William Kershner and administered head rubs at the same time.
All in all, we're enjoying some wonderful winter weather for the Holidays. It's gray, cloudy, and on the cool side with a hint of rain. That's as wintery as it gets here, folks, so bun better be glad for what bun gets.
My hoomin is trying to shake off the funk and disbelief about the work situation. That is hard, awful hard. At times like these, the best bun can do is put one paw in front of the other just to keep moving. It keeps the feelings of resignation less sticky when they pop up at random and for no apparent reason. Thump!
We'll keep you posted,
- Gus

Espresso, Charlie, and Gus Update
Greetings, Everybunny!
We have a huge request to make. Have you any Holiday themed disapproval you can share? We could very much use some of it this Season.
In other news, my hoomin fixed the USB cable that Espresso nomed last week. The repair was easier than he thought, and now the cable is protected with a plastic sleeve. You know, it has the kind of bun-proofing that it needed a long time ago.
Charlie and I are getting a new bundo for the Holidays because we nomed the old one down to nothing.
And that's all we got for today. Our V. E. T. got their X-Mas treat bag as always. My hoomin couldn't help himself and dropped it off early in the week so the staff could enjoy everything BEFORE the Holiday.
We'll keep you posted,
- Gus

Espresso, Charlie, and Gus Update
Greetings, Everybun!
We're all doing well, that's the good news. But the shakes won't go away, my hoomin says. We used to whine sometimes about a week having all M*nd*ys, but this one took the cake. First thing this past M*nd*y morning, most of my hoomin's coworkers lost their jobs. He said he's OK for work now, for the immediate future, but, say six months from now, nobun knows what will happen. So at the moment, we're trying to chill and regroup.
On a lighter note, I got to snack on that USB branded "spicy hay." My hoomin was practicing on the sim to calm his nerves and "poof," his rudder pedals stopped responding. Chomp, chomp! Well, he said the soldering iron to fix the cable is ten bucks, but the remedial training in respecting my "authoritah" is priceless.
We'll keep you posted,

The Bunday Evening Thumps
Good Evening, Everybun!
Hoomin, you said you would add extra pineapple to my treat bowl for working both weekend posts. That was not an extra pineapple! I expected the whole pineapple.
My hoomin said he's frazzled because there's supposed to be some big meeting at the tar pits. Something, something because of a French company buying the old pits. I sayz to him, "Put on a yellow jacket and kindly remind everybun before the meeting that it was the peasants who burned down Bastille."
He looked at me funny and said it wasn't the peasants who did the storming. Thump! I said "Who cares?" Then he asked me how I like them there pineapples and mumbled about how such antics would complicate procurement of the pineapple funds, blah, blah, blah. Well, I'm not sore about the pineapples, but he was very late with the evening treats tonight, thump!

Espresso, Charlie, and Gus Update
Greetings, Everybun!
Believe it or not, we like the treat packs our hoomin brought home last Saturday. They are so yammeh; we still play with them. Aside from that, last week, our pellet production was excellent; the weather stayed nice and cold. What more could a bun want?
We'll keep you posted,

The Bunday Evening Thumps
Good Evening, Everybun!
My hoomin disappeared for half a day yesterday and came home with a tiny little paper bag. He put it down next to my pellet bawl and expected binkies in return. So he went to that party where the hoomins put together a hundred plus treat bags for buns at the foster home. They also make treats with seagrass mats that can be hung up for the buns at the SPCA.
Well, I'm not touching that thing; I don't care what Buncle Kurtis put in it. Of course, Charlie and Gus got theirs and tore them up right away.
Oh, one more thing - the little guy thought he could get one past me this morning. Gussy-Smarty-Pants thought wrong. Now he's shy a clump of fuzz on his hiney.
And now for something completely different. The hurricane season ended yesterday, and we got away with another one! That really makes a bun grateful.
We'll keep you posted,
- Espresso
