Fifi

Oh, we got your number, alright! But what are we gonna do with it!?

- Thank you, Jen, and SFHRR

P.S.: Fifi will be ready for her forever home in just a little bit - she just had her special operation a few days back. She's almost a year young, made up of kindness and pure fluff (she'll need regular grooming, and the rescue can help with that). https://www.wagtopia.com/search/pet?id=2615917&name=Fifi

The Bunday Evening Thumps

Bun evening, Everybun!

Charlie decided to fix her "breakfast in bed" this morning. Nothing beats dragging all the hay from the hay ball next to the loafer, right where you want it. By the time the lunk got done sleeping in, we were cleaning up a second round of noms.

I heard the luncheon meeting with the volunteers from Southwest Florida House Rabbit Rescue was a humbling eye-opener. All of a sudden, the "rescue" became real, tangible. The atmosphere was hopeful and grounding. There were a bunch of familiar faces, people who last year this time were helping the SHRR, worked on the Bunfest.

And speaking of Bunfest, the 2026 Florida Bunfest will be held on March 22nd. And yes, my hoomin is now working on a piece for the event. Right now, it's still just a background (still needs more cowbells, like Gus said), but it will get there.

Good night and good luck!

Espresso, Charlie, and Gus Update

Charlie, "I'll do it again, whenever I want to. Because I can -  that's why."

Gus, "We can all agree this thing behind me needs more cowbells, yes!?"

Hellos, Everybunny!

I can't decide if it's been a year-week or week-year. But it's been. We're doing well, thank Bun. I have another bladder expression appointment this upcoming M*nd*y. My hoomin is all giddy about that because if something is amis, the good doctor will probably pick it up. Maybe my hoomin will do another incantation with the tech so I can make it through OK to the next expression appointment? Bun needs all the help Bun can get.

Thursday night, I scared the living chili out of my hoomin. Just because I could, just because the day ended with a "y," and something, something, I can't remember now. All I had to do was hide for just a little longer than he could stomach. I looked at that tiny salad that still comes with my meds a little too sideways. That's all it took. The dude was turning into Spiderman, climbing the walls and ceiling.

And switching gears to something hopeful, the sorry sod is going to the luncheon for the volunteers at the Southwest Florida House Rabbit Rescue. Did somebun call him a "volunteer!?" When exactly did he work up to that!? I thought you had to earn that stuff.

Anyway, here's to making it through another week-year.

 We'll keep you posted!

Roscoe, Daisy, and Molly

That's what I thought. We're five twigs short! Thump!

- Thank you, Renee and Brad!

P.S.: After a successful resupply mission, the cargo underwent a routine, unscheduled quality and contraband audit. Each blade and twig was inspected for freshness, aroma, general appearance, and the degree of salivation it induced. The haystack proved to be needle-free, fragrant, and binky-inducing. However, twigs were missing, and an active investigation is in progress.

The Bunday Evening Thumps

Gus 26-01-04-the-bunday-evening-thumps-DSC_1936

Bun evening, Everybun!

Oh, come on, it's dark somewhere. We're doing well, and we've had great "Hoppy New Day" festivities this morning. Yes, there was a tiny salad, willow, kudzu, cookies, head rubs, back scratches, and the random, assorted variety of hounding by the hoomin for I don't know what. We had an arting session in the morning, with more cookies, and the hoomin finished the "background" painting. Even signed it.

We are early with the evening post to keep the rest of the day flexible. There's something bituminous hanging around my hoomin's head. Roughly shaped like dread before the reentry into the grinder tomorrow morning. He'll miss our long, chilled morning celebrations. Sigh.

We'll have the usual "New Day's Eve" frolics in the evening. There will be a new canvas unboxing, a new background underpainting, and Bun knows what else.

So if you have some good vibes to spare or disapproval, we sure would appreciate it.

Good night and good luck!

Espresso, Charlie, and Gus Update

Charlie 26-01-03-gus-charlie-espresso-update-DSC_1930
Gus and Charlie

Hellos, Everybunny!

We start with a "Hoppy New Day" ritual, then we go through the "Yada, yada, yada" of the day, and then the "Hoppy New Day Eve." So, you see, the lights just have to stay on, all year long. We'll get some green lights for the Summer.

My hoomin promised to do no significant adulting as the long, winter break winds down. We'll try to help. Of course, he'll try to hang out with us as much as possible, and we'll have to enforce some boundaries. Now, those are flexible, and you would be amazed how far cookies and apple sticks can "nudge" them.

We'll keep you posted!

Hoppy New Year!

Charlie 26-01-01-gus-charlie-espresso-update-DSC_1928
Gus 26-01-01-gus-charlie-espresso-update-DSC_1934

Hoppy New Year, Everybunny!

Salad with Charlie's morning meds, snacks, more snacks, and head rubs is how we rolled this morning. The hoomin hung out with us until we were ready to call it a morning and go napping.

And that's about all for our plans and agendas for the day. Chill, snack, nap, art. Then art some more.

We already let the hoomin snap a couple of pics, and we call it starting the New Year on the right paw.

Keep calm and binky on!
- Gus
