Hellos, Everybunny!

And we're still doing well. My hoomin let himself panic early this week, and convinced himself there was blood in Charlie's urine. He had a proper wiggout, swapped Charlie for yours truly to see Dr. Zellner at Avian. We just got back from the doctor, and no, that was not blood in her urine. And there were no indications of an infection either.

Dr. Zellner showed us how to test stains for blood with hydrogen peroxide, and oh my Bun, that stuff just cooks! Next time, we'll stick with that and skip the rubbish showing false positives.

Unfortunately, Charlie will have to get four more days of Orbox because the meat sack lost his sh*t last night and gave her a dose. We don't want to build up resistance to the medication.

Now he feels like he won the lotto or something, and I need to get busy napping. And those pesky apple sticks still refuse to chew themselves into shivs.

The Bunday Evening Thumps

Good evening, Everybun!

It's been a very nice and quiet nap time. The hoomins cleared out for some "outside time," and we had no nonsense to put up with all day. And it's still quiet! We're doing the regular bunny things, and Charlie continues to do the regular bunny things! Everything else is just bunnana garnish on the hay.

Hellos, Everybunny!

Chillaxing, putting that one paw in front of the other. Charlie has a good appetite and keeps on doing bunny stuff. Which means giving our hoomin as hard a time as she can - in the morning. She has figured out that the fluids happen in the morning now. 

But they go quickly. Thank you, Sallyneary, for the tip about warming up the concoction first. We do think it helps, and we need all the help we can get. Of course, there are treats afterward. 

Last night we started the new painting of Charlie and yourz truly. Right before my "nigh nigh," I had to chin off, and nom off on the work. And it was double pay for me, of course, because of the hours, you know. The Brotherhood of Studio Forebuns has my back.

The Bunday Evening Thumps

Bun evening, Everybun!

Charlie's follow-up went pretty well. She maintained and even gained a little weight. She got a good bum brushing and one of Dr. Zellner's special, magical belleh massages. There was a little bit of bladder expression and even work on the bladder stone itself. The doctors said parts of it were getting mushed and disintegrated to the touch. 

We did not do new X-rays or blood work. At the moment, none of that would provide any new information that we could act on. The treatment plant stays in place - daily fluids and observation. We were on the lookout for signs of blood in the urine following the "stone work," and all the pee was coming up clear. 

Funny, how we learn and re-learn what passes for good news as time goes by. 

Charlie is still mad about yesterday, though. Come to think of it, she got worked over pretty well. So she's still on the mad side of things, and does not fancy the biped in her sight. Unless there's mint involved. Or cranberries - the fresh kind.

We arted last night and today. My hoomin sent the guideline work to our painter for printing, and this piece is starting to feel real.

And what is next? We don't know. We wait and see. We'll send the update on Charlie to Dr. Zellner tonight, and we'll take it from there. We're learning how to breathe all over again.
