Hellos, Everybun!

Everybunny's doing well. Eating, pooping, drinking the fruit-spiked water. It felt like a week of treading water though. The Bunfest is over, paintings are finished, sketches for new ones started, and time change survived.

We threw the hoomin for a loop though. Came M*nd*y morning he showed up with cookies an hour earlier, and we were sound asleep. I lumbered out first, confused as thump, thinking something happened that wasn't supposed to. Gus couldn't be bothered and stayed put. After a while, that really woke the hoomin up.

Gus finally came out, sleepy and confused, stretched, and got on with the program. That's about as good as the week got. We'll have to take the day bit by bit. Maybe we'll convince the hoomin to at least another piece, even if only a color study or something.

It was a bit slow start before the Tampa Bay Bunfest 2025 became packed

Good evening, Everybun!

It's been a quiet day in the burrow. We did a lot of good loafing, even my hoomin loafed!

Now, on to the important stuff. Why the days of those big, fancy salaaaaads are over. The short answer is to eliminate as much calcium from Charlie's diet as possible. We are down to cilantro and mint because they are very low in calcium. We get an extra sprig of this or that from time to time, but only as a garnish. We got lucky Charlie responded as well as she did to the meds or even that little, measly bit of greens would be gone too.
Here's the recap of our drill:
Distilled water for drinking,
Apple and pineapple juices to make the water more attractive.
Limited pellets
Very limited, low-calcium greens.

That said, nobbuny better touch our raspberries!

In other non-news, we have a hellish temporal vortex in full swing on our paws. Because of the time change this weekend, our routines went out the window. And so we tried to take it easy.

The Bunfest went well. My hoomin got a lot of good feedback on the two paintings. Sitting next to the two pieces, talking with strangers, and playing with paints a little, he forgot about the world outside being on fire. Even a few hours help.

We're still grappling with Espresso being gone. Right now we wait, take it easy, roll with those punches in the gut, and try to get up one more time.

Hellos, Everybun!
My bloodwork came back as clean as a whistle. We'll take that little win. My follow-up with the V. E. T. is set for September 13th.

Gus and I are drinking, eating, and pooping like a couple of little dragons. And this weekend, we're celebrating Gus's new birthday! It was a year ago this weekend when he had that scary bout with stasis and started the "Let's Go To The Hospital" polka for one thing or another. It's been a year, I tell ya.

Bunfest is here, and my hoomin is ready to bust out. It's gonna be a long day for him - yay! It means we can loaf in peace and don't have to listen to his antics.

Good evening, Everybun!

Here are the "before" and "after" x-rays of Charlie's bladder. So the improvement is significant. So we'll keep what we're doing. The hard part is keeping Charlie drinking that fruit water.

My hoomin painted a little, then nabbed me with his picture taker, yada, yada, yada. And he loafed with us. We were exploring 'Spresso's room and got sleepy after a while. So I loafed, Charlie hid in one of the bundos, and my hoomin sneaked in and loafed with us.

He says he's done with "adulting" for today, and the rest of the afternoon and evening will be creative stuff. Bunfest is now only six days away, and the paintings still need a lot of finishing touches. But we're getting there.

Espresso, Charlie, and Gus Update

Hellos, Everybunny!

This morning, I had my follow-up with Dr. Zellner, and my x-rays showed a very dramatic decrease in the urine sludge. Our instructions are to keep doing what we've been doing - meds twice a day and pineapple water. We had bloodwork done, and the results will be in next week. 

So, we're breathing easier. Ya have to take your wins when you can - this is a pretty good one.

Now, I'm on the mad side of things. Will have to come up with something to make my hoomin pay for this. What would Surge do? Surge A Storms for those of you who have to look it up.

For now, my plan is to loaf and connive. My hoomin will paint most of the day. Bunfest is next Saturday, so he's slowly bringing the pieces to a finish. More on that tomorrow.
