Gus and Charlie, "Very bourgeois, very flaunting - hurricane night dinner salaaad in bed - under electric lights, with air conditioning and all." |
Espresso, "Nope, no sir, we disapprove of hurricanes berry, berry much Thump!" |
Charlie, "Why sit in one loafer when you can take up two!?" |
Hellos, Everybun!
We got so incredibly lucky on Thursday. The hurricane went by in the Gulf, yet hoomins felt like it made a direct hit. Someone clocked the winds in St. Pete at 80 miles per hour. That's hurricane strength. Of course, when the beast made landfall, it was at Category 4 with 140 miles per hour winds. Nine feet of storm surge.
Our power never went out, but most of our street is still without. The power company sent another update with an estimate of completing repairs sometime tomorrow.
We've lost all contact with family members in North Carolina since Friday morning.
In other news, I'm getting my recheck with Dr. Teed at Keystone in Bradenton on Tuesday. Here's to a clean bill of health.
Spressy finished getting nose drops and is only getting eye drops - for another week or so - we think. We'll try to get him in for a recheck combined with Gus'es wellness check. We'll see how it plays out.
We'll keep you posted!

Glad to hear that everybunny there is okay. Hoping for the best with your relatives. I have family in NC too.
The storm came in spite of Gus giving it the Ears of Disapproval. The nerve! I am glad you fared well. Best wishes for your health.
Storms on both sides of the pond...though your's is worse, glad you're all safe xoxo Little Miss Titch
