Mr. Bun update

Greetings Everybunny!

Just getting into the spirit of the season, that's all. This is my best, approving, face. Especially when it's dark, cloudy and rainy; when winter comes to Florida (meaning it's NOT hot).

Hoomin called my vet yesterday and reported that my sneezing subsided and white discharge has not been observed for several days now. He wondered if it would help for me to be on the med for another week. The vet said to finish the medicine and to call them  on Tuesday and report on how things are going. So I'm getting the last dose of Baytril today! Hopefully.

My junction (or is it junktion?) is all grown over with fresh hair, skin cleared up and all irritation is gone. So I'll call this a good week.

That said, my hoomin wonders, what are the pros and cons for an elder bunn like myself to undergo a cataract surgery? One of my eyes is really clouded over :-( I'm very afraid it would be risky, considering my age.

We'll try to find our more and we'll keep you posted.

Nice spooky pic! We did have two bunns with cataracts and they did not have surgery ... got around quite well as long as they stayed in familiar surroundings. I know every one is concerned about anesthesia and older bunns ... a wory for sure. Good luck.

Mr. Bun, your human is gifted. He has a great subject to work with, but he is an amazing talent in his own right. While he gathers information on the cataract surgery, he might want to ask if bunnies who are safe from aerial predators can get along well with just their hearing and sense of smell. I wonder if bunnies adapt gradually to this kind of change and just get used to being the bunnies they are.

He will do fine with one good eye, as long as he has plenty of carrots to maintain sharp vision!

Good week, good news! Are there more natural alternatives for cataracts? Nice October-y pics of the bunneh! :)
