The Tropical Storm Evening Thumps

Espresso, "Keep bowing, a little more, a little lower. Lower!"
Espresso, "Do I have to share that!?"
Gus, "Oh what the hump is that!?"
Our home-grown mango and pineapple.
The mango looks like a distant planet ;-)
The pollinator patch, palm tree in the easement.

Good evening, Everybun!

The growlery is dry and cozy. Or is it the disapprovery? The storm's center is about a hundred or so miles to the West, and things feel pretty spooky. And we're only getting the storm winds - we're not even close to a hurricane category strength.

Other than that, it's all mangoes and peaches over here. My hoomin had to brave the wind and rain to trim back some bamboo in the backyard, and now the dude thinks he's the 8th Samurai or something. Well - this serves him right - he had a whole week to trim it.

But everything's well enough for now. The storm is passing, and I'm doing pretty well. Everybun is doing well -  Charlie and Gus couldn't care less about stuff outside, and that's just fine with me.

Of course, the evening is still young; there should be some arting going on, and next time, I'll have a review of that little pineapple. And the mango!

Goodnight and good luck!

PS: Remember that pineapple my hoomin started growing years back? Yes - it's finally ready! We started growing in April of 2020 https://www.disapprovingbun.com/2020/04/espresso-charlie-and-gus-update.html

Espresso, Charlie, and Gus Update

https://aviationweather.gov/gfa/#obs
National Hurricane Center

Hellos, Everybunny!

It's been a mostly quiet week in the burrow. My hoomin spoke with the V. E. T. at BluePearl, Dr. Gronsky, and the consensus is to monitor my sneezes. When I have a fit or even make a sneeze-like noise, my hoomin writes it down. And we had a few here and there, but, at least for now, they are not getting worse. The last I sneezed was at 2:30 in the morning this past Thumpday—that's "Wednesday" for all you uninitiated ones.

I've been off the oral and nose drops antibiotic for almost three weeks now, so something is different. But we'll keep an eye on it.

Another thing we'll be watching this weekend is the latest loogie the Atlantic coughed up. The tropically depressing blob is sliding into the Gulf now. It will veer out to the West, gain strength, and come back, pounding the Big Bend area of the coast.

We'll be fine if these projections hold up - but you never know with these things - they are such shifty and shady bastards.

We'll keep you posted!

No, hoomin, I wouldn't just "throw away the key," of course. I would trade it for a bag of cawwots!
