We just want to take a minute and wish everybun a safe and serene Memorial Day here in the Colonies.

The Bunday Evening Thumps

Gus, "I'm Gus - a rare glimpse of GUS - the Great Universal Spirit!"

Gus, "I'm trying to impersonate somebunny, but not sure whom. Maybe the present-day Bunn, I mean Buzz Aldrin."

Good evening, Everybun!

We don't know why 'GUS, the Great Universal Spirit, manifests itself as Gus. But it does. Sometimes it roosts on top of his bundo and watches. What is he watching? And why does GUS need or want a bunwife like me? He patiently waits for me every day. Maybe he thinks I make the dinner salads happen? Perhaps he lets me think that because the salads usually show up right after I come over for the night.

Maybe with the salads, my hoomin tries to show that at least he tries world-building with his silly, hoomin, hairless paws?

It would be easy to reject this world simply for how the hoomins canceled the Thunderbird by eating all of their eggs (https://www.science.org/content/article/egg-eating-humans-helped-drive-australia-s-thunder-bird-extinction). But that's not enough. We can't un-eat the Thunderbird back into existence. Maybe all those little experiments in world-building, when put together, will lead to something better than the demise we're heading for?

We may still have to settle for trying, but what else is left?

Espresso, Charlie, and Gus Update

Greetings, Everybun!

What the short work week lacked in duration sure made up with murderous insanity. We're still trying to wrap our noggins around the genocidal episode in TX. We had given up for now on trying to process it. Our local bubble of "normal" feels surreal. Everybun is doing well in that bubble in a world where things are not OK, with nothing on the horizon to even suggest that OK will ever make a comeback.
