Espresso, Charlie, and Gus Update

Hellos, Everybun!

Last Sunday Night

I'm doing better, and the biped is going out of his way to over-cookie and snack me without over-treating and snacking. I'm in the hay bin, noming up the hay like there's no tomorrow.

M*nd*y

I'm wings-level and starting to climb again to my usual bunitude. At my discretion, of course.
In the morning, the v.e.t. called, and Dr. Zellner wants to see me. She missed me on Saturday. And there goes my afternoon. But the checkup goes well, and I don't even get mad, and I enjoy a chunk of papaya right in the exam room.

Poor Gus gets his for a change too. Nail trim, blood work, works.

The hoomin stayed clear of us that evening.

Tuesday

The v.e.t. called to check on me. Then called again to let us know Gus's results came back whistle-clean. More treats! We even art a little.

Wednesday

The day becomes a tumbleweed-sized hairball on fire for the hoomin. He can't even, but oddly enough, he does.

Thursday

The hairball continues to smolder. But we're doing just fine.

Friday

The long weekend for my hoomin is here. Now comes the hard part - dealing with the post-tar-pit bends. Can't relax too quickly or that last working brain cell will pop. So we get a major cleanup.

Everything is changed, bundos rearranged, the cookies stay the same. Art-wise, the day is wasted, though.

Today

Charlie really hates the Trimeth/Sulfa; just hates it with passion. The biped tries to get the meds in quickly, but this stinks. She gets mad, runs, hides, and it takes a blueberry the size of a peach to try and distract her after the meds. Now the plan is for the biped to stay out of sight again for as long as he can so we can "do bunny things."

I'm working on some fresh apple sticks. These suckers are serious - if I ever need to make a stake for stabbin' through the heart, which he obviously ain't got, these are the sticks.

We'll keep you posted!

Finneas

But it's Friday! We have plans! What do you mean you're not leaving the house!?

- Thank you, Susan!

PS: Finneas found his new forever home with Susan. Yes, that Susan. The famous servant of Alexander, aka "Peach, the Bunstronaut." Finneas used to live at home with canines for friends, and once he stayed at Susan's for the Holidays, he just didn't want to go back. The hoomins worked things out, of course. Now he's bonded with Savannah and Pepperoncini!

Bun Fiction Update

Starring Alexander Humilbun as "Peach" in "Close Encounters Of The Bun Kind."
AJ Cannon, "Better the cover of the Rolling Stone!"
Of course, any self-respecting bunstronaut would wrap a present in an expired sectional ;-)

The latest issue of the House Rabbit Journal just came, and it contains an article by our hoomin, titled "Close Encounters Of The Bun Kind." Not only that, but the photo he took of AJ Cannon made the cover!

We want to extend our most profound appreciation to the House Rabbit Journal, especially to one of its editors, Shana AbĂ©, for making this possible. We would also like to thank Communications Manager Larrisa Church for her outstanding work on the issue's layout.

Shana's prompt to write the story and her editorial on the piece made it all come together like a miracle.

You can thank the global supply chain's problems for the summer issue coming out so late this year. It's crazy how the world is spinning these days—thump!

My hoomin wrapped a couple copies of the Journal like a present and hand-delivered them to AJ's mom, Susan. She almost broke down crying when she realized AJ had stolen the cover.

It's been almost a year since my hoomin took the photos of Peach and Apricot. Shortly after that, they tried a new forever home and then returned to Susan. Now, they rule Susan's castle and enjoy their new identities as Alexander and Eliza.

Will keep you posted,

- Espresso

Alexander

It's not that you stink like the hairless ape you are, hoomin - I'm just trying to keep a proper distance from you and your ilk!

- Thank you, Susan!

PS: Alexander and Eliza (formerly known as Apricot and Peach) are enjoying the bun life and doing great!

Alexander Hamilbun

It's here, and don't you think about it, don't you even look at it, hoomin! Or you're gonna spoil the brand new Friday!

- Thank you, Susan!

PS: A few weeks back, Alexander and Eliza, formerly known as Peach and Apricot, returned to Susan after their adoption trial didn't work out. They were in their forever home all along.

Espresso, Charlie, and Gus Update

Espresso, "His Holly Disapproveness is busy despising you and will not see you now!"

Greetings, Everybun!

Somehow, we don't know how, but we're in for a gray, groovy, and very rainy day today. So there goes the EBA. Of course, if the conditions improve, we might attempt another landing in the Sea of Backyard. You know - wildflowers to be sampled, collected, and wild things to be nomed.

And speaking of landings - our "super-secret" project survived its landing! The latest stream of telemetry shows no significant issues. We'll have to correct a few things, but that's to be expected. OK, OK, the short of it is that the House Rabbit Journal will publish a little article my hoomin wrote. It's about the photo-shoot of Peach and Apricot back in December of last year. It even looks like their pics might be published too. More details will follow.

We'll keep you posted,

- Espresso

Peach

Better head for the woods, hoomin. Or you ain't gonna make it back for my super saaaaaalad bowl on Sunday, right? What kinda "super" would it be without wild herbs?!

- Thank you, Susan and SCHRR!

PS: It is with bittersweet excitement that we learned Peach and his sister, Apricot, found their forever home! We would like to wish them all the best, we'll miss them, and we'll keep them in our hearts no matter what.

Peach

Peach is a special needs bun, but the missing paw seems to not slow him down one bit.

You're making bread out of my bunnanas?! On a M*nd*y?!

- Thank you, Susan, and SCHRR!

PS: Meeting Peach in person is a delight! He warms up to you very quickly, enjoys the head rubs and has your heart in a pocket before you know it. Peach and Apricot are still looking for their forever home.

Apricot and Peach

"Hey, Peach, did you hear about the hoomin that went to the doctor?"

"No."

"Yeah, he wanted some sleeping pills for his wife. The doctor asked, 'Why, what seems to be the problem?'"
"She keeps waking up."

- Thank you, Susan, and SCHRR!

PS: Apricot and Peach are still looking for their forever home. Susan says, "They are very loving bunnehs (...). Peach is big brother and is laid back and not afraid of anything. Apricot is easily frightened.... vacuum cleaners are in fact, out to kill her. They are inseparable. Oh, Peach is an amputee, but it doesn't slow him down a bit."

Peach

Tuesday, eh? Prove it!

- Thank you, Susan, and SCHRR!

PS: Very young Peach, before the loss of his front paw. He's doing very well, though and still looking for his forever home.
