We've got our first round of naps done, Charlie even loafed with the hoomin. Now he thinks he won a Major Award or something.

The mood around here is, "Get as much loafing done as you can." Yes, we'll be arting tonight.

And I need your help again - do you have any disapproval to share? I'm afraid I'll be asking for it much more often. We're using up our last images of the bunns still looking for homes at SCHRR, and we don't know what will happen next. Stay tuned.

The Bunday Evening Thumps

Good evening, Everybun!

I got up a little bit ago to check around, and the lunk was at the easel. The oat hay was better, though. I keep telling him, "That piece ain't exactly an easel dancer, if you know what I mean. It's not going anywhere, it's not moving, it's not moving me. Maybe slip it a hundred-cawwot bill into the frame. I mean, do something!"

Of course, he doesn't listen. Like when we have our cookies and he mistakes my interest in cookies for general approval of cheek rubs, back scratches, and such.

But we can't complain too much about a slow, cloudy, rainy day made for naps and comfort. The unnerving part will come tomorrow. Can we make it through a long weekend without having to make plans to see a V.E.T. the next day? Let's hope so.

Bun morning, Everybun!

We're doing well and enjoying the long weekend. We had a buntastic morning frenzy with cookies, kudzu, and apple sticks. There are no blobs in the Gulf or the Atlantic posing any imminent troubles. What's in the Atlantic will probably turn north anyway. For now, it's too far away to worry about.

My hoomin had a checkup with his v.e.t. and came home late yesterday, all discombobulated. Everything's fine, numbers look good, the staff are great, but just having to keep doing that is a rollercoaster.

We're tucked away for now and expect to have a nice, quiet napping and loafing day. But come evening time, and we'll be arting like there's no tomorrow. And all we can do is keep our paws firmly in the day anyway.

Good evening, Everybun!

So, we were arting one night, and all was going well until my biped had an "wait - what?" moment. And he started asking us things like, "Did you notice, when you gaze at the sky at night, that the Universe does not have to go to the tar pits - ever? It does not know what a M*nd*y is and couldn't care less. I mean, it has nothing to do, doesn't have to sleep, - that we know - so what's it doing with all the boundless energy and time? It's arting! All the time!"

"Are you getting enough cookies, hoomin? Maybe you're not getting enough ketchup," I asked.

And we went on like that the rest of the evening. Maybe arting is the "resting state" of all that energy. Does the Universe know how incredible the dust clouds we call "The Pillars of Creation" are? Does it care? Does it know anything else but to create, and "art?" And what do we do? We art through the best and the worst of times.

Hellos, Everybunny!

We had a glorious morning feeding frenzy on teats, willow, kudzu, and apple sticks. Don't forget the raspberry that comes with Charlie's meds. Yeah, you can't have "just one," can you? And no bunny has to go to the v. e. t. today. 

The blobs in the Atlantic are not posing any threats at the moment, so it almost feels like a day off. My hoomin even tried to get some sleep through the week and woke up, well, hoomin. Ovecoffeed properly and got right down to arting. Then bin cleaning. 

And here we are, napping, listening to the thunder and rain outside. And that BunGuerninca piece we mentioned? It's starting to move. If it's too much for you right now, just think of those guys as me trying to get my "fair share" of cookies.

Binky Free, Penny

Hello, Everybun,

It is with a heavy heart that we say Binky Free to Penny. After a bunderful life of twelve years, Penny developed several medical issues and survived several surgeries. Her hoomins did all they possibly could to save her; nothing was left on the table. 

A life of joy

And we hate to see you go. 
There is no tragedy here; 
It is a sad day though.

Bun evening, Everybun!

Charlie did very well during her "expression massage" yesterday! Doctor Zellner was pleased with how Charlie was doing, even though there was still some crystalline material in the sludge.

That said, ever since we came home, Charlie has been expressing her disappointment and disdain for the hoomin race at large, and our meat sack specifically. She does not rust that two-bit biped scoundrel one bit, and it's going to take a lot of cookies to get past this.

I, on the other paw, am not mad. I'm plotting. As the amazing nurses worked on my nails, the hoomin cowered in the corner, crushed by guilt and shame. I stared him down. I didn't blink, I didn't flinch; my gaze colder than liquid disapproval, "You're dead, MF!"

We had a bunderful breakfast this morning. With extra kudzu, spirgs of willow, and last but not least, after-meds raspberries to sweeten the deal. Of course, there's no deal - we're just professional extorters.

We're having Charlie's Birthday Celebration weekend. Well,  be honest, we've been celebrating every day since her original bladder stone surgery a year ago. Even when we don't do anything spectacular, just being together with her feels spectacular. And we don't take a moment for granted.

I'll be getting a pawdicure at the v. e. t., and Charlie will get a very specialised "massage" later this morning. The good doc will try to express some sludge from Charlie's bladder. Every little bit helps.

Of course, we'll be super mad once we get back. The hoomin will feel guilty for upsetting us, and will dispense extra treats. We'll just have to keep those frowns frown side down, and not let up for a minute.

We're doing, we're watching the blob. If all goes well, next week this time we'll know where the blob is going that's not here. We'll prepare in the meantime - just in case.

We stayed up way past our bedtimes last time, arting, and extorting cookies. That's a simple treat, but these days you grab what you can. 

The day is still young. We'll nap, we'll art, we'll extort cookies. Maybe we'll start sketching something new. I keep hearing "Bun Guernica."

Hellos, Everybunny!

We're doing well. You know, the usual - golden pellets, beastly appetite. Stalking the hoomin for cookies and apple sticks.

The tropics are waking up, and we're stocking up on evacuation supplies. The latest blob may be getting someone in a week or so; it's just hard to tell who's gonna get it this time. We hope nobunny will.  
As luck would have it, I have an appointment with Dr. Zellner next Saturday for bladder expression. I'll probably get a good looking over, too. Gus will get a pawdicure, and we should be good to go if we have to go on an "evacuation vacation."

We learned yesterday of Jim Lovell's passing, and it hit hard. Like with everybunny else - there's never ever a good time for that.

Today we'll be loafing and arting. My hoomin will try to paint the latest tar pit scars out of his mind. Sigh. But you gotta make your nut. And yes, it could be worse.

Did we say something about the tropics too soon? Just look at all those blobs now. At least none of them are heading this way - as far as I know. And the giant, orange one, looks like a monstrosity from the original Star Trek series.

In other news, we still have nothing to report, and we're glad. This way, my hoomin can worry about saving that hopeless painting of his. We stayed up way past his bedtime again last night until I finally said, "Thump it, Charlie. Let's call it a night." And we left. And he was like, "Wait, don't you guyz want more cookies!?" No, you weirdo! We retired to our night spot.

Charlie says they used to make a fluffle right where we like to sleep. Her, Espresso, and some girl named Latte. I never met Latte. I hear she used to be the bossy bunny of the warren.

So the biped stumbled back around later, and yes, he brought that cookie with him. We waz asleep already, but we wouldn't turn down a cookie.

And what about today? Naps all around. Arting and more naps. And the evening is still young.
