Good evening, Everybun!
We had dispatched our hoomin early this morning. It's pretty easy to do - you take the cookies and run. And you disappear into the bowels of the bondos and hidey tunnels. We start napping, and the place looks like we're not even there.
He needed to be in a different place today. The tail end of January is thick with pretty grim anniversaries. The Apollo 1 crew, the Challenger, my hommin's Mom passing away, then his brother. So it helps to sit in front of a canvas and piddle. A touch-up here, a touch-up there. Step away, have a look, go in for another touch-up. Add a shadow under Graham Cracker's bum to ground him better. Step away.
The frame, the canvas are like a portal into a safe space.
On Friday, my hoomin got a pretty decent update from his doctor. He will only have to lose a pint of crimson if the hematocrit count exceeds 45%. Until now, the threshold was 43%. The medication seems to be doing its job, and the numbers are trending in the right direction. And yet, even this piece of good news somehow proved turbulent.
So, yes, a little bit of Cobalt Blue and a dab of Titanium White soothe and smooth things out.
Goodnight and good luck!

I'm sorry the hoomin has rough Januaries but I totally get it. Good news about the blood counts though! Tell the hoomin to hang tough.
... yeah, we'll go with the good bits :-)
