Good evening, Everybun!
I think we revert to talking about food on Bundays because we need to tune out most of the world, at least from time to time.Take today, for example. Our hoomin hoofed it to the urban farm in the morning and came back with a bag of proper organic greens. We let him make a pot of soup from some of them and even two hoomin salads. So, he's been cooking most of the day. Of course, we still expect all the trimmings, so he's not done yet. I hear the organic dandelion is excellent.
These are challenging times, especially if you like history. And what are we supposed to do when the Universe decides to learn us a lesson?
"Oh, you like history, do you? Why don't we cook some up right now?" goes the Universe.
"Let's take a jug of crazy and pour it over the yeasts of history. We mix it up a bit, then let it sit and foment."
"Can anything good come out of it!?" you ask.
"Neh, I have no idea!" comes back the Universe.
Next thing you know, the limbic system glazes over and starts to drool, "Yes - cookies! Let's talk about cookies!"
