Champis

When Punxutawney Phil sees his shadow, there are 6 more weeks of winter.
When a powerful bun sees his shadow, what does this mean? Zombie apocalypse?

- Thank you Kelly!

PS: There are new posts featuring Champis!

Nope, it's the ZomBun Apocalypse - we are all well and truly doomed.

If only he were looking at his shadow, we might stand a chance. Champis is not looking at his shadow . . . pity the quadruped or biped.

I have seen Champis before but I still can't get over just how bossy this tiny bunny is! The disapproval per pound must be huge!

What a stupid question. What does a poor hoomin think when a bunny sees - or doesn't see - the shadow? Things are going to be good? Oh - right.

Champis has that ear pointed right at us. Don't make him have to come and Disapprove Of us!

He is very powerful. One back-punt of our weedy hoomin bodies from those fuzzy thumpers would send us sailing cartoon-style over the roof and into the middle of the street!

"I am Champis, HOOMIN. You realise that I'm boss-bun here, and you and I will get along just fine!"

Oh, Champis! So glad you're disapproving at full power! As always :-)

Be sure to check out the link, and then watch the video for a clear case of bun disapproval regulating sheep. He lets them know in no uncertain terms it's his hay, not their hay, and kindly wait for him to finish said hay. Way to go, Champis!

I'm happy to see Champis on here today. I just looked at his photo, here at my desk at work.It made me feel a little bit better, because:

It is M*nd*y. *THUMP!*

I'm going to need Champis to chase off any hoomins who come to my desk. Oh, and he can answer the phone, too.

"Hello, can you help me with this?"

"No, hoomin! *THUMP!* "

That's what I need! A fierce little Disapprover like Champis.

Fleetie, I got an e-mail newsletter from the Minnesota House Rabbit Society. It had some great pictures. Maybe you can find it on the web. It might bring some cheer to the day.

I just watched the video.

CHAMPIS, BE CAREFUL!!! You'll get accidentally trodden-on and killed if you carry on like that, running around under their feet.

I am worried. He needs to learn how small he is compared to them!

I watched it too and thought this is a bit risky :-(

True--even the vet on whom "All Creatures Great and Small" was based was injured by sheep. Not intentionally--they just sort of swarm and knock you down. He ended up in the hospital!
Champis seems more deft than hoomins, though.

Perhaps the way they defer to the little guy, they're especially careful where they step. With that much disapproval wrapped up in a small package, I'm thinking they wouldn't dare step on him. Perhaps disapproval works like a force field?

Greetings from California (I would rather be home in Virginia but I'm here on business and well, it's warm). As always, Fleetie, I send positive M*nd*y thoughts your way, although you are well into Tuesday now.

Please don't worry, anyone, Paula would never put any of the creatures at risk, especially their beloved bun. The sheep really are respectful of Champis and he's very aware of his and their movements. It does still amaze me that he has the border collie "eye" or at least to the sheep, he does. Danny started to teach me how to herd (well, act as a shepherd, not do the actual sheepdog job, I'm too slow and look too silly down on all fours) and when the sheep were driven to us, they either stopped short or made a hole for us. Interesting!
