The Bunday Evening Thumps

Charlie, "Instead of making my mouf pinko-purplish, maybe find a purplish, sweet, spicy fruit or something?"

Gus, "Is that, ENOUGH, ... sepia for ya - hoomin?"

Good evening, Everybun!

It feels like the Summer is back - hot, muggy, not very Thanksgivingingy. When bun gets to sandwich a holiday in the middle of a loooooong weekend, the last day in that stretch is not a hoppy occasion.

At least my hoomin got to work a bit on the Bunfest stuff. It has a proper domain now: https://tampabaybunfest.com

That said, we'll have our usual Bunday Evening Arting About session. And there are a few more long weekends coming right up.

Good night, and good luck!

Espresso, Charlie, and Gus Update

Gus, "You really need to put these away now, OK?"
Charlie,"Where are the seconds?"

Hellos, Everybun!

 M*nd*y

It's true what they say about La Florida - turn the heat on in the morning and the AC in the evening!

   - Charlie

Tuesday

Poof - and it's Friday - or it feels like Friday. My hoomin has the rest of the week off.

Thump! No bok choy in the salad this evening - then I smelled it getting stir-fried! Thump! Not fond of that stuff anyway.

   - 'Spresso

Wednesday

He called me bun-dito. What the thump?

1/2 coolie is food, but a whole cookie isn't?

   - Espresso

Thursday

It's been quiet here all day except for the sound of "comfort TV" in the background. Really, hoomin? Some dude named Kojak circa 1975? Hoomin claimed that was only the background noise when he worked on the flash cards.

I swear if I hear "Who loves ya, baby!?" one more time ... I know where the router is. I've been to that room - all that spicy hay, exposed, in plain sight Just saying ...

   - Espresso

Friday

The genius decided it was a good day to go out and get a pointy shovel. No - make it two pointy shovels! He came back and whined it was too peoply out there, and he's been wholly overpeopled. He, he.

Strange news broke out in the afternoon - the US defeated England 0:0 in the something something Cup.

   - Gus

Saturday

It's another quiet day in the making - we're keeping our paws crossed. At ten in the morning, all the airports in the area still report fog - a great day for making flash cards. We're all feasting on our favorite treat foods.

Hoppy Thanksgiving!

Charlie, "Let me ask you again - are these for noming or not? I mean, how hard can it be?"
Gus, "If you think the light show is like a raspberrini drizzle on the salad - you're mistaken."
Espresso, "Me? Green? With what?"
Gus, "Here, hoomin, better do something with this one - or it will go to waste. You won't be able to use it for a year."
Greetings, Everybun!

We like to wish everybun a Hoppy Thanksgiving. And if you have to work today or got stuff going on - may the day go easy on you.

We're mostly in a powered-down mode, coasting through and enjoying the gray, cool day here. That's the best La Florida can do this time of year.

But to be on the up and up - it's always a day giving thanks for our hoomins - every time we don't thumb our noses at their offerings.

We'll keep you posted,
- Gus

The Bunday Evening Thumps

Good evening, Everybun!

It's cold, gray, and loafy here today. We're chillaxing, catching up on snoozes, and trying to brace ourselves for the next week.

It's been a good day for snorgles - I got a bold spot between my ears again. My tiny little shoulder muscles and back also got a proper rubdown.

Of course, since the day is still young, we'll squeeze in some more art and homework before the last dinner cookie call.

Good night, and good luck!

Espresso, Charlie, and Gus Update

Gus, "Stop talking, hoomin. I can feel the mint draining out of my mint, OK?"
Charlie, "Just be thankful for the side eye, eh!?"
Gus, "Does the mouf approve? No, it does not, hoomin, does it!?"
Espresso - When another M*nd*y rolled in parading as a Friday.

... our "secret art project" from a few weeks ago - the identity design for the upcoming Tampa Bay Bunfest!

Greetings, Everybun!

Somehow, my hoomin got into his head that cookies are not food on Saturday morning. Cookies are food when I decide they're food. And he's whining again about having to move one hop at a time through these days. Well - if he wants to keep all the toes - cookies will be food on weekend mornings.

We're in the middle of very cool and dry weather, so the leaky wall infrastructure adventure will start today. There will be only light chores inside. And we love that 'cause the hoomin will keep himself outside.

The good news is that my hoomin will burn up some time off for the rest of the year. A bunch of three-day work weeks are coming up, and he swears there will be arting.

That brings us to the very special event that is under development in the area. We will have our own proper Bunfest in March! How cool is that!? And the organizers went with our design for the logo and stuff like that.

We'll keep you posted!

The Bunday Evening Thumps

Gus, "Flooding shmuding my foot!"

Gus, "Arrrgh!"

Charlie, "Ya don't wanna make the little guy mad - ya know what I mean?"

Gus, "The degradation or interruption of dinner salad services will not be tolerated!"

Good evening, Everybun!

It's amazing how a little sleep can improve the damage assessment of a leaky wall. All of a sudden, the leaky wall is not THAT long, and it won't be that hard to fix it. Anyway, it doesn't have to get done all at once and right THIS minute.

Our room went back to "normal," the salads showed up on time, and the overall mood brightened. My hoomin even busted out to the beach before sunrise to catch the passing front.
And surprise - surprise - even those horrid flashcards for the "Fundamentals of Instruction" moved along.

What a funny thing, this sleep stuff. Of course, we know it, but does the hoomin ever listen?

Good night and good luck!
- Gus

PS: I stayed home - didn't feel like tangling with the seagulls.

Espresso, Charlie, and Gus Update

Greetings, Everybun!

The hurricane came and went. We got some wind and rain, and cleanup is underway. Water seeped in between the walls and the slab. Luckily, we can do most of the repairs ourselves. At least part of the fix will involve painting the place. Well, it was overdue for a fresh lick of color for a long time.

The minor cleanup we had to do is finished, things are drying up nicely, and we'll be back to "normal" shortly.

All in all, bun can only be grateful. Have you seen the damage done on East Coast, with washed-out roads and buildings claimed by the ocean?

So, we'll try to decompress today and figure out how to tackle that new "infrastructure" adventure.

We'll keep you posted!

The Bunday Evening Thumps

Gus and Charlie - "Dinner In Blue"
Gus, "Why, yes! I like everything with extra sass!"
Gus, "Pfffft!"

Good evening, Everybun!

You get all set to pretend it's Fall in La Florida, and what happens? The orange blob turns red. You make a cup of your favorite cocoa, cozy up with the screen, and wonder, "What the blob!?" Then you realize you should have made a cup of tea instead. At least you could read the leave when predicting what the blob will do.

Oh well - we'll get some rain, some wind. At least it'll be groovy over here. But the midlands of La Florida? They'll get soaked. So we're just grateful for the break.

And tonight's art program calls for more design work for the "secret project." We have two rough ideas done, and we'll make one more. We're keeping our paws crossed that one will hit the mark.

Good night, and good luck!
- Gus

 PS: The Blobs...

Espresso, Charlie, and Gus Update

Espresso, "I'm officially starting the countdown to next Halloween. And go ahead - start my name again with 'Ex.'"

Charlie, "You're gazing up a bit too much for my taste."

Gus, "Not even one stinkin' pumpkin photoshoot, you dolt?"
Greetings, Everybun!

Something happened, we're not exactly sure, but October came and went - just like that! Nobun knows where it went, either. We're hoping it will come back soon. You know - not to wish the time away, but still.

Aside from that, it will be all the usual good stuff. Arting, chillaxing, and flash cards. Yes, we're watching our hoomin make flashcards to review everything he's been reading. Good grief - this all might go somewhere yet.

We'll keep you posted!
- Gus

PS: Maybe we'll still get some of those tiny pumpkins in the frame. In the meantime, we're watching these crazy tropics. See that orange blob? For over a week, it's been trying to become something.
