Good evening, Everybunny!

And so it feels very wintery here - cloudy, drizzly, and almost chilly. And very, very muggy. It's been a great day to hide in the bundo, chisel extra cookies from the hoomin, and loaf.

My hoonin made good on the promise to work on "Graham Cracker and Mel" even though he's got little to show for it. The rough positions of the bunnanas and the Space Bunnana Bit are transferred to the canvas.

He also cleaned up the model for the SBB - stripped away a couple decades' worth of dust, assorted mucky dirt, and an old brown stain. Now, the model has to dry for a few days before it can be painted flat white.

In other news, we're keeping our paws crossed - it's the second week my hoomin has been on the med for his blood disorder, and there are no adverse side effects to report - so far.

Espresso, Charlie, and Gus Update

Hellos, Everybunny!

My hoomins are decompressing after a short Thanksgiving trip, and things are settling down again. Today, I'm exploring the middle flood of my three-story bundo. My hoomin thought the middle floor would be hard to get on, but I say, "Where there's Gus there's a way!"

I'm sneaking a peek at my hoomin through a slit in the cardboard and kinda feel bad for him. We're going into a post-cookie hibernation part of the day, and the sorry sod is moping that we're out of sight till the evening. I know he didn't get any pixes of this morning, and I won't let him sketch me either. He'll have to keep busy with that big painting of his. The piece is morphing into one of those "forever projects," so he knows he better step on it.

Oh well, he better be ready for us this evening.

The Bunday Evening Thumps

Good evening, Everybunny!

Has anybun seen where this November is running off to? If I didn't know any better, I'd say something's chasing it. But what? And you know I always know better.

Around here, the nights belong to Autumn, but the days are trapped in Summer.

We're still trying to slow down and take it easy. But I keep my hoomin on his toes with my sneezing, just so he remembers what's important.

And my hoomin? He's trying to keep the important bits sorted out. Like my head rubs. He notched the first week on Hydroxyurea. There are no side effects to report - yet. His dosage is not immunosuppressive, but there may be some "photo-sensitivity," though.

What does it mean when he calls himself a "developer" at work, is photo-sensitive, and has an affinity for dark rooms? The picture emerging for me is of an X File kind, especially when he sounds a little negative at the end of a long day or close encounter with the bone saws.

It's been a rainy, groovy week all week! We're finally getting some rain. Of course, we need that because the Spanish Needle crop is complete cr*p now - dried up and gone.

I'm keeping things interesting for my hoomin and have a good old sneeze from time to time. To keep things interesting, you know, in case he runs out of things to think about.

The big question for the moment is how to slow down enough to enjoy what's left of this November. It's slipping by way too quickly.

We had a nice, chillaxing relaxing day. The summer made a little comeback, but that's what you would expect here.

My hoomin visited with the buns at SCHRR and took a few pixes of new rescue bunns. You'll get to meet them next week, of course. After all that, he returned to working on "Graham Cracker and Mel." I know; it's been like three weeks since he last touched it. And the night is still young!

I'll get my third eye drop M*nd*y morning, and later on we'll have a follow up call with the V. E. T. Keep your paws crossed for me, 'cause I'm really sick and tired of sneezing. Thump! I know - the hoomins are trying, but for thump's sake, they can feel so useless sometimes.

I'll jump off my soap box bundo, loaf, scowl, and I'll keep you posted.

Espresso, Charlie, and Gus Update

Greetings, Everybunny!

"Little" Spressy sneezed himself back to the V. E. T. again. The good doctor flushed his sinuses, and everything checked out OK. Spressy's lungs are clear; he eats; he poops - he disapproves!

But he's on a regiment of one eye drop into his left eye once a day for three days. So he got the first drop this morning - two mornings to go.

 And what about other news? It's been all m*nd*ys, and the heat is back. If you want to feel cold or enjoy some chills down here - get a shingles vaccine. My hoomin got his second shot on Tuesday, and it sure kicked his duff - just like the first one did.

Charlie and I got our bundos rearranged again. I kinda like it. I love the high-ground perspective.

From there, I stare down this supposedly highly evolved clump of carbon and fear grovel on all fours as it scrubs and cleans poop and pee after us. Then he rubs our heads and tells us what a bunderful job we do.

 It just never gets old. And tossing my cookie dish off the third floor into the water bowl below - priceless!

In all this hubbub, Halloween came and went almost without notice. And we miss it. October is kinda special for us in La Florida. It raises the hope that the big AC in the sky will cool things off. So far, we can't complain. Maybe next time, we'll be able to chillax a bit more and let ourselves take in the change of seasons, even if only in our imagination.

And will that hardware store Xmas Bun ever leave? Neh, it's gonna stay. The lights and decorations will change, but the bun will stay. We can figure out a get-up for it for any season or holiday. So there. We'll try one more spooky costume before we switch things up.

I have a feeling that the way stars are aligning means we can do much, much better next Halloween.
