Bunday Evening Thumps

Gus, "Bunday night and nothing to thump about. Thump!"

Good Evening, Everybun!

I don't know about that. Something is not adding up. I worked the post yesterday, and here I am working the Bunday Evening Post. And I have nothing to thump about. Strange. I know that no news is good news and the tropics are mostly quiet, and I should be glad. Well, there is something right off the coast of Venezuela, but it's too early to tell what will become of it.

So what say you - take it easy and snorgle with Charlie? Let's see, ahhhh, yes, it's almost dinner time. Maybe I should raise some ruckus at the gate, make the hoomin jump a little.

We'll keep you posted,
- Gus

Espresso, Charlie, and Gus Update

Espresso, "Yeah I'm getting you for this!"
Espresso, "Step on it, will ya?"
Charlie, "Gus, this is not gonna end well, you know that, right?"

Greetings, Everybunny!

Espresso got an early visit for this checkup at the V. E. T. this week. He was doing fine M*nd*y night, and by Tuesday morning something changed. He kept hiding in the corners and wouldn't care for any treats. Out came the carrier, the hoomin scrambled and off they went.

Sure enough, he was in some trouble. He got stuffed up a bit in the GI track. He got medicine, and the vet took an X-ray. It turned out there was no serious blockage. Espresso kept eating and was doing well, but he was refusing to poop.

When he returned home later that day, the hoomin kept him in the carrier capsule and went to clean up around the bin area and, of course, change the bin. As soon as Espresso got out of the carrier, he decorated the bin with a nice load of pellets. He's been doing well since then.

That's when I noticed his old bin resting by the barrier. Well, Charlie and I were most fascinated by it. Never mind the two bins in our room. This bin was it! Somehow I managed to weasel through the gate. I'm not sure how I did it, and neither is our hoomin.

I tried to make friends with the murderist, but it didn't last long, and I was back with Charlie in no time. Sigh, ... one day, one day I tell ya, Spresser I are going to be the best of friends.

We'll keep you posted,
- Gus

Bunday Evening Thumps

Silly Gus, the Moon is but a plum raspberry!

Good Evening, Everybun!

The good news is the salaaaads keep coming. That's all we care about. And the hoomin can pout and mope all he want's. Well, not exactly, he's been reading a lot today. At least he's trying to "move the sticks" a little, even if it means moving them one paragraph at a time. You wouldn't believe how much is written about airport markings! Sheesh!

We'll keep you posted,
- Charlie

Espresso, Charlie, and Gus Update

Every bunny knows the Moon is made of kale!

Hellos, Everybun!

Today, I wish I was Buzz, folks. We've been thinking about the Moon landing all week. It was hard not to.

If you wish to geek out a little, try your paw at landing on the moon, right in your browser: http://moonlander.seb.ly/

Our crew is doing fine, and there's no news to report. I heard we have a visit to the V. E. T. coming up soon. You know, just a routine bunstronaut physical, ... thump!

I guess we'll go back to chillaxing now and contemplating this day. It feels a bit strange and extraordinary, like a holiday. It got our hoomin completely discombobulated. He better combobulate back together before salaaaaad time though.

We'll keep you posted,
- Gus

Bunday Evening Thumps

Charlie, "And what about that hole, you sorry sod, eh?"
Charlie and Gus, "Talk to the butts, hoomin!"

Good Evening, Every Bun!

This is Gus. Gus likes to bunstruct when the right feeling strikes him just right. Gus bunstructed a good bit of the woven bundo over the few days his hoomins were gone. Perhaps Gus didn't get enough treats. We may never know. Because Charlie is not telling, and Gus certainly refused to divulge any details. Maybe he's training to storm that Area 51 he keeps hearing about.

We'll keep you posted,

Espresso, Charlie, and Gus Update

Chaelie, "Hoomin, I feel like I know you; why?"
Espresso, "Well, I don't care what the bag sayz. I neeeeed the treats!"

Charlie, "The salaaaaad lady is here, the salaaaad lady is here!"

Hellos, Everybunny!

We survived our hoomins' mini vacation! They were gone for all three days. Of course, we didn't skip a beat, but we missed them. And we missed all those head rubs.  Yes, there were consequences for that.

Our hoomin prepared the salaaaads in advance,  wrote up a checklist for each day with vet phone numbers, emergency instructions, the schedule for bin change out and stuff like that. Izzy took good care of us. Now the hoomin is administering extra head rubs trying to make up for being gone. We're just glad it all worked out well.

We'll keep you posted,

- Espresso

Binky free, Finn

Kind, loving, fierce, and inspiring - Finn

Good Evening, Everybun :-(

We learned yesterday that Finn, of Mango and Finn, made his journey over the Rainbow Bridge. Mango and Finn were always hoppy to share their disapproval, and we will miss Finn terribly.

We extend our deepest sympathies to Mango and her hoomin servant, Rondi.

Bunday Evening Thumps

Gus, "This is my Lem look. Close? Not even? Try harder?"

Charlie, "Pffft! I'm not playing!"

Espresso, "Nope, no sir, and get lost, hoomin!"
The daily bribe ;-)

Good Evening, Everybunny!

That Gus. He's the true explorer in the family. You show him half a treat, and he will climb everywhere and work every photoshoot, thump! But Espresso and I? We do NOTHING on command! You can't bribe us, trick us, reason with us, or anything with us! We, we trick, command, and fool the hoomin into abiding our whims. We like it that way, especially on a lazy Bunday like today.

Star Bun: The Next of Kin

The Elder Bunstronaut held a bag, and each of us—the five left from our crew—slowly hopped by and dropped a paw full of our pellets into it. Zeph would reach into the bag, draw a pellet, and run a test to match it to its creator.
Joey
The last time we had done this was when the experimental trash sweeper Hopper-Alpha-1 lost one of its flight engineers during an emergency EBA.
Of course, we would all visit young Sharpfoot's mom, but we had to have a spokesbun. We knew Fate could take anybun of us at any time, that she didn't care about the rank of the bun or who their commanding officer was. We just wanted to be fair when picking the spokesbun.
Abby
A charred and blood-stained fragment of Sharpfoot's suit, a piece of his helmet's visor, his sextant, and other personal items rested in a basket next to the potted seedling of a willow tree.
Zeph looked up from his DNA mapper and fixed his gaze on Joey. The Elder Bunstronaut became quiet as he emptied the bag of pellets around the seedling and gritted his teeth in sadness. Scars and spots of worn-out fur on his ears bore witness to adventures long forgotten. One could be forgiven for thinking he was spending his days in the garden, napping and taking in the summer breeze. His eyes cut through that notion. Sharp and brilliant, resurrected by the tender paws of doctors, his eyes craved more starlight.
Joey
He remained still for a long time, communing with the memories of friends and flights past, then whispered, "Tough pick, Joey."

Hoppy 4th of July, Everybunny!

Espresso, "How about some red-ish, white, and blue, eh?"

Hoppy 4th of July, Everybunny!

We would like to wish all our friends in the Colonies and safe and bunderful 4th of July.

Our hoomin promised us a snorgle of a quiet day with treats and headrubs galore. A biiig salaaaaad, of course. He said he'll hang out with us to keep us safe from the crazy mayhem of firework noises in the evening.

So, keep your furries safe and sound today. We, the furry and feathery, hate all that noise nonsense.
