The Bunday Evening Thumps

Good evening, Everybun!

We had a morning of panic. The canvas was turned upside down. There was a s sheet of vellum taped to the painting. We were trying to sketch in the ear with quick brushstrokes. All the lights were turned on in the room even though it was very bright outside. And the ear refused to come together. I took a break and went away to hide and loaf. My hoomin would have to handle it - now it was between him and the ear. There's just no amount of egging on from me that could turn it around.

The rest of the day went like this. The evening is still young, though, and there's still hope he'll give on the ear - maybe. But you can never tell with these things.

If he goes insane, I hope he'll remember to return and fix our dinners.

And then, to make things a little more desperate - I sneezed. Just a little "harrumph." But that's enough.

Goodnight, and good luck!

Espresso, Charlie, and Gus Update

Charlie, "The peg is out - the cookies are gone - and you don't panic because!?"
Gus, "I know, I'm this good-looking. How did that happen!?"
Espresso, "Tucks in or out - doesn't matter one thump as long as you're loafing."

Hellos, Everybunny!

My dear friend Espresso the Murderizing finished his meds Thursday night and is doing well. Of course, now comes the hard part - waiting to see how well the treatment worked. At least for now, all is quiet on the sneezing front.

In other news, we had a nice little cold front blow through the area last evening and should have another bunderful, wintery day.

If all goes well today, we'll have a quiet loafing day. I think my hoomin learned his lesson and will loaf a bit like the good Bun intended. With expectations set as high as the bottom of my pee bin, he'll be hoppy to get any paint time at all today.

Another thing that happened Thursday night was my hoomin fiddling with Graham Cracker's ear. Something clicked, and we finally had a good feel for the form of that ear. Maybe this is the weekend when the piece comes together!?

We'll keep you posted!

"Graham Cracker and Mel" - work in progress
"Graham Cracker and Mel"
Gus

Good evening, Everybun!

It's cold, rainy, and getting colder. And we're trying to enjoy this winter while we can. The oak trees are starting to bloom, you know.

My hoomin made good on trying to finish the painting. He thought he could until he ran into Graham Craker's Achilles's ear. The very thing that stumped my guy initially is the spot where the ear meets Graham's head.
So, it looks like the finishing touches will spill into the next week. Not that my hoomin minds. He can keep hiding somewhere between the paint and his audiobooks. And it will be a nice problem to have for a few days without seeing my V. E. T. or a doctor.

And, yes, I'm doing well and don't even mind the meds too much. If my hooomin could only spike that bunnana sauce a little. Just a touch, you know, to make it even more medicinal.

Goodnight, and good luck!

Espresso, Charlie, and Gus Update

Espresso
Charlie
Espresso

Hellos, Everybunny!

I finally got my consult and meds from the V. E. T. yesterday. Even a pawdicure! Thump! I took my 1cc of bunnana-flavored Baytril last night, and the good news is my appetite remained strong.

Now, we settled in for a quiet loaf day. It's rainy and cloudy outside, with the temps expected to drop. So, Winter is still trying to hang on. But the oaks are starting to bloom, and bun can feel Spring trying to breathe down bun's neck.

I've been supervising my hoomin and his painting, making sure he keeps moving along. And we got most of the finishing touches done. The plan for today is to fine-tune Graham Cracker's body. And that might be it for the big guy!

We'll keep you posted!

The Bunday Evening Thumps

Charlie
Charlie and Espresso
Spresso
"Commissioner" Gus, "Just the bribes, Ma'am!"
Gus, the super hero ;-)

Good evening, Everybun!

It's been a quiet day in our burrow. My hoomin managed to sleep in and was late with the cookies. It threw my routine off so much that I decided to stay with Gussy for the entire day. Oh well. My hoomin's routine seems to be off, too. He has to have a "crash day" lately. Or a "forced loaf day," as I would call it. And it might be the medicine he's on.

And what about Spressy? Spressy is doing pretty good, though still sneezing. We didn't hear from the V. E. T. on Saturday, so here's to a consult on M*nd*y, and meds, and hopefully relief.

I wish my hoomin would loaf some more today. He's trying to make good on the promise to finish Graham Cracker's eye, but why freak out over it so much? I'm doing my part, though, and staying off his back today. I know; it's like I'm approving or something.

Goodnight, and good luck!

Espresso, Charlie, and Gus Update

Gus
Espresso and Charlie
"Graham Cracker and Mel" - eye study
Hellos, Everybunny!

Espresso finally obliged us with a proper specimen of bugger! It was cloudy, goopy, and substantial. It happened Tuesday night after what sounded like Espresso sneezing out a lung. My hoomin burst out with deleted expletives and collected the sample. We had it over to the V. E. T. first thing Thumpday, I mean, Wednesday morning.

Now we wait. Isn't that exciting!? The V. E. T. confirmed bacteria in the luge and sent it out for further analysis. If we're lucky, we may hear about the test results today.

But otherwise, the murderizer is doing well.

In other news, my hoomin promised to work on the painting today, and I intend to hold him to it. Now it's all about Graham Cracker's eye. After doing a few studies this week, the trick will be translating the eye sketches into paint.

We'll keep you posted!

The Bunday Evening Thumps

Espresso, "Ayuh, it tastes even better than it looks!"
Gus, "You're right - kept the girlfriend all to myself today!"
Espresso, "Is it time? Time to start taking chunks out of his duff again!?

Good evening, Everbyun!

It's been another quiet day in our burrow. It all started with cloudy skies and rain. Now it's breezy and clear. I kept to myself most of the day as Charlie didn't fancy coming over. Thump!

The good news is I had a decent day, sneeze-wise. This morning, I got a 1/4 Baby Chewable loratadine hidden in a giant, fat blueberry. I approved of the blueberry.

My hoomin made good on his promise and moved the eisel into my room. And then the grumbling started. I sayz, "No bun made you do it - move it back out if you don't like it, you sorry sod!"

Well, he stuck it out. Again, the painting served as a gateway to where headspace returns to "normal," like a dry dock for the soul.
And it's been exactly a year since he made the first awkward sketches for the painting. Now, we're putting the finishing touches on it. Yes, I said, "We." Oh, you think he coulda done without me!?

The next big hurdle will be trying to take a decent pix of the darn thing. For some reason, it's a lot harder to get the colors right in the photograph of a painting than he thinks.

The night is still young, though, and arting will go on.

Goodnight and good luck!

Espresso, Charlie, and Gus Update

Gus, "Ya want a break!? What can I break for you?"
Espresso, "Sometimes ya just have to sit sideways on the ponderables."
Gus and Charlie
Charlie and Espresso

Hellos, Everybunny!

Another winter weekend is off to a slow start. My hoomin declared he can't hoomin today and won't adult either. Well, thump! I sayz, "Sure, as long as the cookies are served, head rubs administered, and I get my brushing. Yes, I like brushing - so what!? Until not so long ago, I didn't know either, but then I realized, "That's not so bad - not bad at all!"

Yes, I've been sneezing a bit this week, but nebulizing helps. The air is arid here lately, so maybe that's what's bugging me?

Well, I hope not all is lost for today. Saturday is still young, and my hoomin did promise he'd move the painting set up into my room. I mean, somebun has to watch and make sure he finishes the painting without overworking it. I'll let those rotten bones of his rest for now but after that ...

We'll keep you posted!
