Jolene

So much to thump about - such a short Thump Day isn't it!?

- Thank you, Sünje, Kurtis, and SHRR

PS: Jolene was recently found sitting in front of a house, probably waiting for her hoomins to come back for her which they never did. .

Hoppy Labor Day!

Charlie, "Just a quick, friendly reminder - the staff around here doesn't get no stinkin' day off!"

Charlie, the "Strato Disaprovous," not to be confused with an "Air Mass Storm of Disapproval."
Espresso, "Look, I'm off today, so come up with your own favorite, black and white quote - OK?

Hoppy Labor Day, Everybunny!

We're still chillaxing and promise to work hard on that today. This is one perplexing holiday here. There are no pressures or horror stories associated with it. You don't "have to this" or "have to that."

Want to hang out with friends? Go ahead!

Wanna art all weekend? Sure!

Like to pester us with the clicky thing? Buzz off!

Of course, you can buy yourself something if you're into that kinda stuff, and you'll know exactly what you'll get, and if it's wrong, it's your thumping fault.

We'll keep you posted!

The Bunday Evening Thumps

Gus, "I'm having a hard time deciding if I'm the "Citizen Bunn," or "Citizen Gus" here.

Good evening, Everybun!

It's a tedious business, this decompressing over a long holiday weekend. When a hoomin tries to decompress in your company, you end up with extra head rubs, even cookies. The bad news is that the scoundrel hangs around you all the time. And then he hangs around some more. And suddenly, my quiet, daytime spot in MY bundo loses all its chewed-up charm.

And you have to listen to stuff you don't want to know anything about.
Like this guy Picasso.

Picasso visits Warsaw, Poland, in 1948.
Gets a tour of the city; visits a freshly build apartment complex.
The building material is at least partially made of the city's recycled, ground-up brick and concrete rubble.
He's fascinated by it.
He's inside one of the units.
Is that a piece of charcoal in his pocket, or is he really hoppy to be there?
It doesn't matter - there's a fresh, clean wall in front of Picasso.
He whips it out - the charcoal - from his pocket.
Swish, swish, swish, wiggle, wiggle, swish!
There's a drawing of the Warsaw Mermaid on that wall.
Picasso signs it.
A lady moves into that unit - puts up with a constant stream of visitors who want to see the drawing.
She has her limits.
Fast forward a bit.
"The officials" send in a maintenance guy.
The Mermaid gets washed away with cheap soap and water.
A lick of pink, rosy paint goes over the drawing.

Sounds to me like a master class on impermanence. Or a play.

Oh, how does it tie into this weekend, into the Labor Day holiday? How would I know!? I just chew things here!
But the things that get to hoomins, though.

Good night, and good luck!
- Gus

Espresso, Charlie, and Gus Update

Charlie, "Judging you is my favorite pastime, of course."

Espresso, "Um, no, I don't feel like quipping. I mean, you are the quip."
Charlie, "You're looking at me again. Why I are you looking at me again?"
Espresso, "Why, yes! We can put on a Bunnoween show whenever I feel like it."
Always a favorite, "Raspberries on fennel stems."

Greetings, Everybun!

We're enjoying the long weekend with many extra head rubs from our hoomin. The trouble is, last night, the sorry sod didn't get any sleep, drank a pot of coffee this morning, and is ready for a nap. Well - I will have to do another loafing demo and watch him try it.

And after that? We will try to enjoy September. We have been waiting for it for a long, long time.

We'll keep you posted!
