6 year olds leraning about rabbits...

My hoomin tells me his sister discovered Disapproving Bun. Since she's a kindergarten teacher rabbits became a good subject for a lesson. Considering awareness campaigns about Easter and rabbits this became a very timely lesson.

What ensued of course is 6-year olds letting loose with crayons.
I think I approve ;-)  That aero-bun? Definitely!

I'm Mrs. Jones and I am an animal lover. My students have been studying animals for the last 4 weeks. I thought this was a perfect opportunity to have a unit on rabbits as Easter was approaching. after reading 6 books about buns, my students really learned how gentle and delicate creatures they are. My students did a great job understanding how much care a rabbit requires. 1 student who already had a rabbit as a pet I learned, took this information home and the family changed the rabbit hutch to a more appropriate rabbit pen. I will be sure to share these kind comments with my class :-)

Those pix are dandy .. a child knows more about the essence of a bunny than an old jaded adult!

Much of what I need to know I learned from bunnys!

I Approve Of small hoomins being taught to respect and love rabbits properly. Most hoomins are too stoopid to appreciate bunnies and how wonderful and individual they are.

Maybe if hoomins are educated young about rabbits, they'll treat them and appreciate them better in later life.

Hoomins should be taught to be GENTLE with bunnies, to understand what makes bunnies afraid, and that they need lots and lots of space to run around and exercise and binky. A hutch is NEVER enough. How would a hoomin feel if they swapped places with a rabbit? In a cell? Or with a whole home to run around in?

All of these thins and more should be taught. GENERALLY speaking, cats and dogs don't get mistreated the way rabbits do. I would say that bunnies have at least as much personality as cats, while being totally different from cats. So treat them accordingly!

I wish there were more teachers like this.If only that were the case, bunnies would be far better-treated! I totally Approve! More teachers should be like Mrs Jones!

And well done, Mister Bun, for bringing this excellent hoomin teacher to our attention! :-)
