I'm almost done eating Batril twice a day, and here's how my hoomin makes it a little more palatable.
We start with raspberry and a small slice of banana.
... 'mix' or squash the fruit into mush.
At this point medicine could be mixed in and it would be sooooo yameh.
But, we want a bit more nutrition here.
And I had it like that too, my mouf gets all slobbery with juice and stuff.
(OK, we forgot to place the medicine syringe, marked with black line for easier identification of 5 ml., so there it is now)
So we mix some critical care.
And here we have to mention why 1 raspberry and not 2.
2 would give us a lot more moisture to be absorbed by Critical Care.
Hence it would be difficult to be eaten in one sitting.
Keep mixing in CC until the mix becomes really solid, like short bread dough.
In goes the medicine...
... work the medicine in, work the mix into a lump.
Put some CC on your paw...
... roll the blob in CC
... and ...
... SERVE :-)
It got inhaled immediately. No fuss, just vigorous noms.
We had a follow up at the vet on Friday. Had to get another shot of antibiotic and got ointmented again. I'm well enough to see my doc in 2 weeks now!
I got dropped off in the morning and hoomin managed to get off work early, in time to pick me up. No overnighting with dogs and cats form that night! I wasn't even THAT mad when we got home. I plopped myself down on my favourite pad and demanded treats. I got all the treats I wanted too.

Yay! Good to hear you are felling better, Mr. Bun :)= Your hoomin has a real talent for treat recipes; he can even make taking icky Batril a pleasant experience. Keep getting better!
