| The first cold front of the season! |
Hellos, Everybun!
We're doing pretty well. Charlie's bladder expression went well - Dr. Zellner got a whole lot of crud out of Charlie. Better yet, Charlie did not seem too upset by it. By seven in the evening, she was out and noming hay from her hay bowl as if nothing ever happened. A lot of loafing "tucks out."
We did the evening meds late, and as gently as possible, all with extra, extra treats on top. We even got to art.
And now for something completely different. Friday morning, my hoomin stuck his nose outside, and there it was - the cold front. No, not a blizzard or anything fun like that, don't be silly - just nice, cool, dry air. How long has it been!?
Here's the strange thing - in the afternoon it felt like a warm, Spring day. It felt like Easter should be just around the corner, not Halloween. That's how this place gets you - it tries to confuse you until you can't tell what time it is or where you are. Next thing you know, the buzzards want to hang out with you. And that's if you didn't get swallowed by a sinkhole.
In the evening, Charlie became very active and couldn't get enough treats and cookies. She almost binkied.
This morning she was rearing to go - bright-eyed and bushy-tailed. The morning fluids and meds went well, and she inhaled her sprig of mint with a raspberry and blueberry.
We can't stop thinking about how much building material came out of Charlie. It must have been a huge relief for her. So keep your paws crossed - we might be in for one of those good old days again.
We'll keep you posted!
- Gus
