"Graham Cracker and Mel" - model for part of the painting. |
Good evening, Everybunny!
I had a bunderful first nap of the day before the day even started. We got on with stuff a few hours before daybreak. Charlie busted out to hang out with Spressy, and my hoomin came to hang out with me and brought extra cookies. We turned on the glowy things in the window, including the x-mas bun. I got all the head rubs I wanted. I must confess I fell asleep. Quite embarrassing, you know. Of course as great as that was, those were not snorgles with Charlie.Once I had enough, my hoomin went to work on the painting. Well, it's more like the model for a part of the painting. The infamous Space Bunnana Bit. Yes, it used to have a different name and the same initials. The thing got three coats of flat enamel paint, and all that brown muck it was covered in is gone. The matte white will make working out a few studies and sketches easier. He thinks it will be enough to do a few pencil studies before touching the shape in "Graham Cracker and Mel."
The bunnana holder is also mated to the stretcher of the canvas. All we need now is a bunnana or two. We'll do some quick pencil studies of the bunnanas on tracing paper taped to the canvas. Yes - we'll have some pixes next time.
So, we did a lot of prep work this week. And the rest is mostly rubbish. PV, really having to look for a new job - all that will pass. Our time today counts. And the night is still young.
Good night, and good luck!
- Gus
