The Bunday Evening Thumps

Espresso, "That's what I'm talking about; serves you right, hoomin."

Good evening, Everybun!

When the hoomin gets on all fours to get to your eye level and asks if you want a cookie, say "Yes!" If it's a weekend morning, you know he's playing you for something. Maybe he's trying to get artsy with the clicky thing or something. So, play along, and watch him. Swallow that cookie whole if you have to and periscope for another. I put my front paws on him and look him sternly in the eyes. You have to be firm with the hoomins.

Keep still, let the hoomin relax, and set up the shot. With a bit of bit practice, you'll know when the shutter is almost all the way down, and you can feel and hear that "click" coming.

Duck! And you stick it to the hoomin - he ends up with the top of your head and some ears. Or a blurry cheek with whiskers like ghosts. Maybe try to clean your mouf and cover your eyes with your paw. Or twist into a pretzel and gnaw the back of your butt - let your eyes bug out.

Before you know it, his pretend "vacation" day is gone. And the squirms, the groans the hoomin will make. I can listen to those squirms all day long!

Good night, and good luck!

Cats don't even begin to pose. As soon as the camera is visible, the head turns away.
