Bunday Evening Thumps - The Bunfest Report

"When to take you rabbit to the vet" seminar was about to start.

Hellos, Everybun!


Our hoomin came back from the Southeast Bunfest all discombobulated. He never saw this many of 'his people' in one place, and it was very overwhelming. He mostly wondered about in amazement, visited with friends, chatted with some vendors and gaped at the variety of bundos that were available for purchase.

A few great things happened. Our hoomin attended a seminar on taking care of disabled rabbits. It was a very healing experience. He wanted to see if he missed anything when he took care of Mr. Bun (from time to time he'll call me "Bun," and I'm like "What? Who ya talkin' to? Oh, oh, right.") Yeah, Mr. Bun would have done better with a partner. Thump! He did get everything else right, though.

He got to meet Anne Martin, Ph.D., the Executive Director of the House Rabbit Society and attended her presentation titled "When to take your rabbit to the vet." It was very, very well presented and informative. The room was packed, and people were asking if the PowerPoint presentation would be available online. And yes, it will be! As soon as we get our paws on it, we'll link to it. That seminar alone was well worth the drive.

Now, the hoomin totally dropped the ball when it comes to pictures. The place was bustling, right from the moment the doors opened until the last minute and the whole thing felt very overpowering. He promised that next time, he will keep his head about and will do better. And there will be next time!

And last but not least, he met Pinky of "Pinky's World." Pinky is such a sweet and wonderful disapprover, and it was a great pleasure to meet him and his servant.

Of course, we have free Snickers bars for Rabbit's Guy, the rest of you will have settle for kale chips. Sorry.

Now, we don't exactly agree with Botasky's methods, but, is there anything a Dutchie could NOT get away with?

Yes, Botasky would definitely make fantastic bunstronaut or a star bun, but sometimes we have to grateful for what we got.

Today is Bunfest, so we have a pretty decent day off. We'll have makeup snorgles later tonight. Our hoomin was so excited about this whole thing. We don't get it, but then again comprehending the hoomin idiosyncrasies is not easy.

The bottom line is, he promised a ton of pix and stuff from the event. It will probably trickle out during the next few days.
